The view was amazing. While I enjoyed the music from nearby restaurants I could see it not being to other people’s liking or even disruptive if you go to bed early. The condition of the room was decent, but the TV didn’t function, and the WiFi was spotty. Also, be aware that the shower water takes several minutes to warmup.

The place is clean, quiet, and well-kept. Alex is very nice and helpful, and the staff are kind too. The location is decent – there’s a bus running about every 30 minutes in the summer that takes you to Fira, and from there you can go anywhere on the island. We didn’t have a sea view (not sure if some rooms do), but if you can, I recommend booking one – it would make the stay even more special, especially for the sunset. A couple of small drawbacks: you’ll need some luck to get a steam iron, so it would be better if each room had its own. Also, I’d suggest the hotel refills water bottles daily after room service – it’s inexpensive, and for a 5-day stay it would only cost around €10 total (even less if bought in bulk). Overall, a pleasant stay with friendly staff and a quiet atmosphere – just a few small improvements could make it perfect.

The rooftop wading pool was a real highlight. It’s not big enough for swimming, but perfect for a quick dip between lunch and drinks. Tables were free to use, while loungers (€20 minimum spend for two with an umbrella) and cabanas (€40, which easily covered lunch and a couple of drinks) were well worth it. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, breakfast had plenty of variety, and the location was excellent — just a 10-minute walk to the metro, with a direct line to the airport and easy access to the Acropolis and Ermou Street, only three stops (about 10 minutes) away.

We booked 2 rooms for 6 people. My husband and I, plus our 4 children. This was clear in our booking details. There were no beds set up for 2 of our children. No pillows, sheets or blankets. They had to sleep with towels we brought from our cruise ship. When we arrived after dinner, there was no one to be found at the hotel. No one answered the phones or responded to our urgent messages. Absolutely unacceptable.

We loved staying at La Maltese. We had a room on the Caldera side with a view that was breathtaking. Our room had private terraces and a private pool. We loved it there and ended up spending a lot of time in our room which felt more like a townhouse. For what we say, staying on the other side of the property was probably a very different experience. If we were to go back we would book exactly the same room. Alex the property concierge was wonderful!

The rooms, suites, food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. The services provided by the professional management and staff are the main reasons that we keep coming back. The old world elegance is a rare thing, and we value their focus to make sure that everything about the lodging experience is excellent. I highly recomend this hotel.

We did not receive the bedding for our sofa bed after requesting it twice. The breakfast area did not open on time and then food service was extremely slow and unorganized even the coffee wasn’t ready 15 minutes after they were supposed to open. There was a wedding going on in the bar and this meant the bar was closed to non wedding guests and the wedding music and guests were loud after quiet hours. Our hot tub did not heat up and we were unable to find anyone in the office to assist us.

It was one of the most amazing hotels I’ve ever stayed at and trust me we have done our share of traveling. Also, my brother had his wedding there and it was top notch service and so very elegant. It was one of the best stay for me. The room is clean, big comfortable and quiet, plus we had a little pool on our balcony just for us. The view from the restaurant is to die for. It is literally breathtaking spot and we just never got tired of having an amazing breakfast there five mornings in a row! The staff are very nice, friendly and competent. You can ask them any questions they are always willing to help. Definitely recommended

Reasonably priced stay for Santorini however we didn’t have the best stay - the location wasn’t as close to Fira as anticipated so we’d have to take a bus to get to the larger terminal of buses. However some things were walking distance like good restaurants - the service wasn’t great, the front desk man wasn’t helpful with recommendations at all - the room wasn’t super comfy - the toilet had a horrible smell on the second day like something in the plumbing was backing up - the area overall didn’t have a great view and the pool wasn’t as noice as the pictures - the one good thing was the restaurant attached had a 5 star breakfast with an amazing view!
