「All meals were very good, food was replenished before it was needed so it was always fresh. There was always a good variety, and it seemed to have a good variety of vegan options (I am not vegan). Drinks were served in smallish glasses but they use quality alcohol. No waitstaff in at the pool or in the bar, but that may have been because of the time of year. 「Beautifully furnished boutique hotel with very helpful staff. Rooms are well maintained and kept clean. The hotel restaurant does some great menu items so worth a visit. Breakfast buffets are fine but probably not to everyone's tastes. Location is next to the cathedral so ideal for a city stay with a difference - Funchal is a super place to visit and we hit the Xmas illumination that is world famous.」
