"Exceeded expectations. All staff we met were so amazing, accomodating and welcoming. We recieved answers to questions in person and via Whatsapp. Well maintained and clean room, pool and hotel. Loved the lockable fridge freezer. Good TV options if needed to stay indoors (Netflix). We had a view to the street/shops and it was nice to face the palm trees. Not noisey at all. Breakfast was good, service during breakfast was efficient and very courteous. Intimate pool section with adequate sun beds. Available umbrellas and sun umbrellas if needed."

"This property does not offer a beach view; however, the beach is within walking distance. Breakfast was decent and delivered to our door every morning. The staff were friendly and the grounds were well maintained. The rooms are a good size, but the bathroom ducting and ventilation need improvement."

"Do not sleep on Bohemia experience! Guillermo (concierge/reception) was a wealth of knowledge and was so quick to respond to any question or recommendation we asked for. The owner, Shaq, was incredibly kind and provided everything we needed. Your day starts with a perfect Costa Rican breakfast overlooking the ocean and the rest of the day is your oyster. My husband and I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here and will be back!"

"We loved Casa Cecilia! The staff are all amazing. Natalia and Annabel were always ready to help with anything! The kitchen, cleaning and security staff were also extremely friendly. The location on the beach was fabulous and its proximity to Rocomar for drinks and lunch is perfect. We loved hanging out and chilling at Casa Cecilia. We spent five nights and were so relaxed by the end of the trip. The ambiance “makes” you wind down and relax. The rooms are a little tired, but very clean with great air conditioning. If you want fancy, Casa Cecilia is not your place. If you want a good value, friendly staff, a super location and yummy breakfasts, Casa Cecilia is the perfect spot. We can’t wait to go back! "

"Bungalow was absolutely perfect for me! Lucia took good care of me and maintained communication from start to finish. Also, the cleaning person was friendly and trustworthy. If you don't handle noise easily, then Buena Onda is not the place for you as you do hear the traffic passing though on the road right outside of the property. I got used to it and did not find it to be much of an issue. It is a great location and I would absolutely stay there again as one can easily walk into town. There are great restaurant's close by. " I recommend reading all the reviews to get a full and balanced picture of the place. We stayed at MarAmar Bungalows for 7 nights with our family (2 adults and 3 kids), and overall we had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent — close to the beach and within walking distance to great restaurants and spots. The bungalow size was perfect for a family, spacious and comfortable, and suited us very well throughout the stay. There are a few areas that could be improved, mainly related to communication and maintenance. The host was not very responsive. The safe code didn’t work and was never fixed, and at one point we got locked out when our key wouldn’t open the door. We eventually received help from the security guard after being unable to reach the host. Towels were replaced every two days, and there were a few small things that affected the overall enjoyment. Another important note: some of the bungalows are located higher up the hill, with a very steep road. This can feel intimidating, especially if driving an ATV or a regular car. I recommend checking the bungalow location in advance if steep climbs or descents are a concern. All in all, this is a beautiful place with great potential, and despite the issues, we truly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return. With some improvements in communication and service, it could be exceptional. Pura Vida 🌿 "
