"Everything about this stay was a 10. The front desk checked me in early. Gave me an upgrade so i can put my stuff down. The person at breakfast was so nice. The General manager Warren greeted me as I was leaving to thank me for staying there. Really a very positive experience. I would def come back again"

"Located on a superb beach. Welcoming staff always happy to accommodate (I had an upgrade to the dome huge room with the amazing ocean view for a very little extra fee). Breakfast was generous and delicious. Natalia the owner always smiling and helping… I will definitely go back to Casa Cecilia"

"Truly gorgeous property with lush tropical landscapes, quiet location just steps from local eateries and just a short walk across the street from the beach. Minor suggestions: a dresser to put belongings in (there were shelves near shower, but not enough room for all of our belongings) and perhaps a place to set or hang keys/purse near the door. Also, didn’t see an ice machine. Of note, there’s a gravel path with slight incline that leads to the casitas, so you must carry your bags to your room. Overall, our stay was truly so nice here! The front desk staff weee so nice and helpful w/recommendations, and we loved how peaceful this location was! Comfy beds, AC worked great, & pool was perfectly warm too ☺️"

"The electricity went out. They need solar lights along the gravel path leading to the bungalows. I tripped over the speed bump on the path and my injuries effected my entire trip. Perfectly avoidable."

" I recommend reading all the reviews to get a full and balanced picture of the place. We stayed at MarAmar Bungalows for 7 nights with our family (2 adults and 3 kids), and overall we had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent — close to the beach and within walking distance to great restaurants and spots. The bungalow size was perfect for a family, spacious and comfortable, and suited us very well throughout the stay. There are a few areas that could be improved, mainly related to communication and maintenance. The host was not very responsive. The safe code didn’t work and was never fixed, and at one point we got locked out when our key wouldn’t open the door. We eventually received help from the security guard after being unable to reach the host. Towels were replaced every two days, and there were a few small things that affected the overall enjoyment. Another important note: some of the bungalows are located higher up the hill, with a very steep road. This can feel intimidating, especially if driving an ATV or a regular car. I recommend checking the bungalow location in advance if steep climbs or descents are a concern. All in all, this is a beautiful place with great potential, and despite the issues, we truly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return. With some improvements in communication and service, it could be exceptional. Pura Vida 🌿 "
