Excellent room and friendly service.

The location, room,and service were excellent. Breakfast was excellent. The lunch and dinner weren't great but fine for days we didn't want to go out. We will be staying again in the next year.

Irotama is nice resort with a large beach and very good swimming pools. The breakfast at Cocos restaurant is fine, but food is not good (relatively with its value) for lunch or dinner. Is recommended to go to Santa Marta old city restaurants at night

I had a wonderful experience at this resort! The food was excellent, the room was clean, and the view was absolutely beautiful. What truly stood out was how friendly and welcoming the staff were everyone made us feel right at home. The reason I’m NOT giving five stars is due to the transportation within the hotel. If you have physical limitations and are unable to climb onto the shuttle bus, your only option is a golf cart. Unfortunately, the wait time for the ONLY golf cart can vary from 15 to 45 minutes, which can be inconvenient, especially since the resort is quite large and everything is spread out. That said, if mobility isn’t an issue for you or you don’t mind the occasional wait, I highly recommend this resort. It’s honestly the best I’ve ever been to in my life a truly unforgettable experience!

Nice resort, expansive property, many options

We had a two bedroom family suite in Irotama XXI. It was beautiful and complete with a kitchenette, plates, cups, glasses, knives, forks, spoons, and many orher itensils needed for cooking. Microwave and a large drip coffee maker completed the amenities. The bedrooms had cieling fans to complement the ample air conditioning. Bathrooms were amazing. The balcony off the master bedroom was spacious and had a table with 4 chairs and a cieling fan that helped keep the bugs away at night. The daily cleaning of the room was excellent. The floors were mopped and the person also did the dishes, as well as, all other expected cleaning. The restaurants were good and I recommend you try them all because the resort is large. My favorite was Búho. The resort has a large group of security personnel for your security. I was extremely impressed by how many security guards there were and that they were everywhere we went. There is also a police presence as well. This is not to say the area is particularly dangerous- quite the opposite. It is simply to keep the resort guests secure as all the beaches are public. They allow a tour company to operate in their lobbies. We took the city tour. It was not very good. You can easily get to the aquarium without a tour and Playa Blanca is also easily reached by water taxi. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend Irotama XXI.

We stay for 4 nights 5 days all the facilities are open for us to use. We were very happy except the food at some of the restaurants needs to improve is also very pricey,we were lucky to know that there is a small shopping center very close and has very nice restaurants.

Ants in the room

The facilities in the resort are great (especially the pool) however the beds were very uncomfortable and we discovered a lot of ants in our room. Instead of offering to move us, the staff sprayed bug killer all over the bedroom. Not a 5 star experience, not even a 2 star experience.

El personal administrativo necesita ser mejor entrenado, reserve a través de Expedia y la página web del hotel no tiene espacio para el nombre del huésped. Rente una habitación doble (dos camas) Cuando hize la registracion (check in) me dijeron que como no había incluido el nombre del huésped tenía que pagar un adicional de $104.00 por los dos días. Terrible experiencia, acostumbro a viajar pero nunca escuché nada igual. Cuidado con sus reservaciones en este hotel si no quieren pagar adicionales como yo.

Excelente hotel. El servicio de recepción en Irotama Reservado de IMER y EDUARDO fue de primer nivel. La limpieza de la habitación fue diaria y perfecta. El desayuno del Restaurante Piso 12 de Irotama XXI excelente, el personal de ese restaurante a la hora del desayuno y de la cena es maravilloso y muy bien entrenado. Vale toda la pena quedarse en este hotel todo el personal presta un excelente servicio al huésped, están muy bien capacitados. Los señores de seguridad que están en la playa son muy amables y uno se siente realmente cuidado y acompañado por ellos. Recomiendo plenamente este hotel. Sus instalaciones, servicio, la comida que ofrecen en sus restaurantes y la calidez de todo el personal lo hacen un lugar maravilloso. Volveremos pronto. Gracias.
