Well located, with convenient parking and within walking distance of most Santa Fe attractions. Junior King Suites are not suites at all - just one adequately-sized room with the bathroom sink at one end and two armchairs by an electric kiva fireplace at the other. (The morning staff person at reception seemed incapable of providing a straight answer as to whether...

「Room had lots of ants, hotel also double charged because they couldnt see the transaction process on their side even though it cleared from my bank account.」

「Nice room (suite), very clean. We really appreciated the daily housekeeping-beds made, fresh towels, etc. Breakfast was pretty good. Water pressure in shower was ridiculous…like being in a downpour. Shower drain was really slow…ended up standing in ankle deep water by the time we were done showering. We would have reported drain issue at checkout, but no one was at the desk when we dropped off room keys. We would stay here again if we come back to Santa Fe.」

「I perhaps did not have a room that represented the hotel as a whole. Like many nice Mexican hotels the El Rey was very nicely designed with several courtyards, a "swim club" area, and winding passageways with benches and gardened paths. But my room was off in a corner of the "Alamo plaza" which was not as nicely maintained as the rest of the grounds - it was dark and for me that area and the room felt dreary.」

「This hotel was in a great location with underground parking that was very convenient.The property was pretty but I can’t say the same for the room. It was clean but dark and dated. There were few outlets and the lamps gave off very little light. If you are located facing the courtyard then you can’t open your curtains because of people walking by in that outside walkway. It felt a little like a motel. But for one night it was convenient and clean and a lot less expensive than many others.」
