The hotel itself is beautiful. The grounds are hidden fron the street and it really opens up once you're inside. The room and the whole property was clean. The staff does a good job at keeping it that way. They were very helpful. Parking can be a pain but we didnt need our car much. There are plenty of places to eat that are walking distance.

Super charming. The grounds and the original building are beautiful, especially if you’re into architecture and history. The cottage we had was pretty basic. This hotel is great for a landing spot while doing all the things SB had to offer. It gets the job done. They offer a complimentary wine happy hour from 5-7, followed by cookies and milk from 7-9. Coffee and pastries in the morning. Best of all was the staff. Just super sweet and accommodating. Bonus is the bistro. The food was ah-mazing. Totally recommend for a night or two. I will start here again!

Stayed in the cottages vs the main hotel. New restaurant just opened. Food good just a few start up kinks to work on. Only complaint nothing major for breakfast just muffins and coffee. Walkable to downtown Santa Barbara. Downtown was a real disappointment. Almost abandoned at 8pm on a Friday night. X

153 year old hotel (oldest in So Cal) in a great downtown SB location. Sufficiently good condition and comfortable king bed so what more do you need for a crash pad after a concert and a night of partying?
