Nice room on corner, bright cheery. Breakfast timing was poor for early starters. Good fruit but fairly simple continental. Nice wines at HH. No TV and we needed a bit of heat in the am and couldn’t see any controls except for ac . Nice room but would not return.

This was my second time staying at Ballard, a few years apart. The Inn could definitely do with some upgrades. We stayed in a “deluxe room with a queen size bed” but the bed was a full size that felt as though it was lopsided or sinking in the middle and it squeaked terribly. I didn’t bother complaining to staff as I didn’t really see how they would move a bed in to the room and I would want to avoid changing room - super inconvenient. The welcome hour snacks were very much lacking — there was no champagne, just inexperience white and red wine. There was Swiss and cheddar cheese but no meats. The included breakfast consisted of fruit, yogurt, granola, and the hot option was eggs (no complaints) but with cheap white bread. With bob’s bread across the street I would imagine at least using fresh baked bread from there. Everything just screamed of cost cutting to me. I would not stay at Ballard again.

We had a lovely time at The Ballard Inn. The room was spacious, clean, and gave us a 'honeymoon' feel with the fireplace and champagne reception. The staff was also friendly, courteous, and accommodating. My only slight discomfort was that it was not as secluded as I thought it was going to be and there was a lot of street noise early in the morning, including a trash truck before 7am. Granted, this was on a Monday morning - but a warning would have helped. I would definitely still stay here again but I'd bring earplugs =)

We booked the room with the fireplace. The Fiesta room. The bed was like sleeping on a sway back horse. They tried to fix it with one of those cheap foam waffle mattresses, that didn’t work. The bathroom was actually disgusting with falling off tiles and mold and none of the drains drained well. There is an actual window in the shower that goes directly to the front of the building where a street is. So if you are showering at night you are definitely giving the street a show. The fireplace is gas and that’s it. No fake log set so we never even used it because there is a warning that you could set off the fire alarm by using it. There is deferred maintenance everywhere. Pumpkins and Christmas decor still out where you can see it. It is in a good location but we will never stay there again. I called ahead to see if we could check in 2 hours early and was told that we would get a text when it was ready. We never received a text. When we checked in at 4 they had a welcome wine that we weren’t offered. They didn’t even offer for us to leave our luggage early. The public areas have definitely been upgraded but our room was probably great in 2000. Do not suggest you stay here.

Check-in was a huge disappointment. Property doesn't have an elevator which is not mentioned in the hotel’s description. My husband has dissability so I asked for downstares room. First I was told that to change floor I need to contact Expedia. When I asked for a manager, I was told that no one was available. I insisted and asked several times to speak to the manager on the phone. Getlman at reception disappeared for quite some time and returned with the woman who said that they could give us a room that has dissability assistance. I told her that we needed a regular room but downstairs. She replied that we could have it for an additional $30 which I refused. Keep in mind that on the day we checked in, hotel had only few people staying and many rooms were available. The woman still gave us a room with disability assistance. The toilet was a foot from the floor, shower was tiny, uncomfortable, and weired. Shower head was completely rusted. Sink to wash was not in the bathroom, but in the room which was not convenient if one wanted to use the bathroom at night. No TV, no fridge, no safe. Curtains on the windows were very light and almost see-through. The light from the street at night or day light in the morning made it hard to get some sleep. Overall, the room was unclean and looked rundown.
