"The stay went well once we received the entry codes, however the water stopped and started in the morning making it impossible to shower. It was inexplicable."

"Hotel was ok but what they fail to tell you is about all the taxes and also a charge each day for parking! Which totaled almost 30.00 a day extra to our bill. Beware, make sure you ask all the correct questions so you don’t get taken like we did. "

"Very cute room, comfortable with outside, shaded seating. Used the $8 voucher to the coffee place and loved the blueberry lemon cake...coffee was good too. Walkable to everything downtown so you don't have to move your car."

"The breakfast was enough if you like what they have. Little biscuits were good with several choices of jam which was great. That bacon one day and maybe sausage the other. They always had a yogurt parfait section of a simple. Everybody seemed to eat at the same time so it was tough for them to keep up with demand, but it did feel like they put care into everything they did and made. "

"The check-in was seamless and the hotel accommodations were good. We were able to do an early check-in as well. However the first room we were given was not suitable for us because it smelled of smoke, but I was able to get our room changed and it smelled better. Although the floor was dirty and needed mopping, we had returned after the cleaning staff was gone, so I dealt with it. Overall, the stay was good and the beds were clean. I and my husband slept well. Thanks for accommodating us."

"Staying at this historic hotel was an absolute delight. The property itself is full of charm, with beautiful preserved details. From the warm welcome we received from Emma to the wonderful breakfasts served each morning, nearly every aspect felt special. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making for the perfect getaway. The hosts clearly take great pride in maintaining the property while ensuring the guests are comfortable. The only area that could use a bit of improvement would be the cleanliness of the room. While it was not a major issue, a more thorough cleaning would have made our stay flawless. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a charming and memorable stay. "

"Parking was private and super easy. Room 6 was large, spacious and very nicely accommodating. Shower was larger than expected with excellent water pressure. Location is near a very busy intersection with views of the water, the swing bridge, and lots of action but so worth it to be part of it all for downtown’s hustle and bustle of small town Beaufort, SC. Almost walking distance to everything. A great place to stay."
