"How could you not love a hotel centered along a 2 mile stretch of picturesque beach in Hendaye. The breakfast was served on the balcony overlooking the beach. Such a wonderful stay. I would highly suggest visitors to the Basque Country to skip staying in San Sebastián or St. Jean de Luz and stay in this perfect spot in between. We will be sending our friends to stay at this wonderful, family run hotel"

"We originally had Airbnb accommodations for that night. When we arrived we did NOT feel safe so I had to make immediate reservations. My niece came across Hotel Ibaïa and we booked a reservation. It was beautifully designed, spotless and very quiet. We had an extremely long and stressful day and needed to be somewhere safe. We walked along the beach, ordered a pizza not too far away. The hotel was exactly what we need. Thank You, Hotel Ibaia!"

"The room was a very standard for the price but had the advantage that mine was on the ground floor with a door that opened onto a small lawn (useful when travelling with a dog). The breakfast had a very good selection. The parking area was ample and the area felt secure."

"All the staff were very friendly and helpful
The manager/restaurant manager was brilliant and gave us ideas for trips.
Hotel is tired which was reflected in the price but we were upgraded to breakfast, lunch and dinner which was fantastic as the food was brilliant.
Our room wasn’t cleaned during our 4 night stay but this wasn’t a problem as we didn’t spend any time in the room although AC would have been good.
The area is stunning and the people are great so overall a brilliant experience

"To say that the hotel was sandwiched between 2 busy roads with lorries running up and down, my first thought on arrival was, I’m not going to get much sleep. How wrong was I. Once inside the hotel you are greeted by calm and quietness. Our room was air conditioned and there was no outside noise. "Nicely situated especially when you are by car. You are quickly in san Sebastián or Biaritz or at some of the neighbouring beaches. But do know there is no Beach in walking distance. However they have a magnificant pool. They have very kind staff who helped us move to another Apartment as our balcony was quite small for 4 persons. Excellent staff and Nice stay"
