「The grounds were exceptional!! Beautiful, lush, vegetation and majestic mature trees. We enjoyed the bird songs in the morning. It is an easy walk to the pristine river/cove where the fresh water from the river meets the salt water of the ocean. The setting is serene. It allows you to be with your thoughts and could be a good place to write a book. The rooms, though spacious and habitable are in dire need of renovations. With renovations, Frenchman's Cove could be more than a Five Star hotel!」

「My family and I spent one night over our 4 day adventure in Portland. Our first time experiencing an eco-tourism type of accommodation. It was amazing. We stayed in the Fig Tree hut and all I can say is it is the best room of the house. They are undergoing some renovation but no disruption to our stay. The front desk staff, Tania was pleasant and accommodating with a late checkout. She even took it upon herself to verify if we wanted to place a dinner order to the kitchen prior to...

「The view from the property overlooking the sea was beautiful and phenomenal. The room space was sufficient and clean. What I didn’t like was the fact that to get there, the drive up to the house was very steep and if you don’t know how to handle the drive, it’s problematic. The second thing I didn’t like was that while the property boasted about having a pool, it was only when me and my family arrived we were informed that the pool wasn’t working due to not filtering properly. 「Friendly and helpful staff. Relaxed environment situated on a cliff with a great view overlooking the ocean. The cabin I stayed in was clean, however I would have preferred an actual door to separate the bathroom from the bedroom, and not just a curtain. Two outdoor pools, clean and well maintained. Breakfast options are limited, and may not be to everyone’s liking.」

「Ideal location. Building is poorly maintained. Rotten eves, bathroom fixtures are loose, locks on doors are rusted and falling off. Unable to lock and secure doors properly. Books and magazines in the reception area needs to be dusted and organized. Staff was friendly and helpful.」
