"The Good: Great location on a quiet street walkable to entire historic zone. Off street secure parking. The property is beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful. The Bad: The pool equipment was not operating, maybe due to the pool level not being high enough for the skimmer to work. The system ( pump, filter etc) was not turned on. Our room did not have any hot water whatsoever. not good if you need a shower before hitting the road. i would confirm hotel systems an amenities are operating before staying here again."

"I would have had good things to say about this place if I had not been robbed whilst staying there. I understand that bubble tents cannot be locked but the hotel's assurance that it is entirely safe because it is in a secure compound is clearly false. (From a text message sent before arrival: "We are in a private area, with security provided by both the hotel and Valle de los Sanderos.") I am not accusing hotel staff but someone entered my bubble, opened a bag, found cash that I had hidden, and took 1000 pesos. I informed staff at reception but the hotel did nothing but offer a late check out, which I did not need or want. No apology or even a drink from the bar. So, until they take the obvious step of installing safes in the bubbles, I suggest you either avoid this place or keep ALL valuables with you at all times. Also, a check-in window of two hours (3-5pm) is absurd given the unusual nature of the hotel. Note also that the restaurant closes at 5pm so you will need to take a taxi or uber into town if you want to eat later - it's about a 15 minute drive into town. "

"Staff were great. Locks did not work. Noisy surroundings. Had to pay cash. Room smelled of sewage. Mattress to big for frame so sore back and neck. Fan worked at only high setting. Worst stay EVER in 7 trips to Mexico."
