This was an incredibly disappointing experience. I booked and paid for a suite nearly four weeks in advance, only to receive a voicemail at 9:30 PM—just four days before my arrival—informing me that the room I reserved was unavailable due to a "major renovation." Instead, I was downgraded to a standard room with a pullout couch and offered a mere $20 discount.
Upon checking in, I learned that this renovation had been ongoing for six months. That means the hotel was fully aware that the suite I booked was never going to be available, yet they waited until the last minute to inform me—far too late to find a comparable room elsewhere, as all nearby suites were already booked.
This kind of behavior is blatantly deceptive. It shows a complete lack of transparency, integrity, and respect for customers. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again, and I strongly caution others to think twice before trusting them with their travel plans.
