Comfortable and distinctive hotel.

We stayed overnight before catching the ferry to UK next evening. Very comfortable hotel. Excellent food in the bistro. The food was good value, considering the quality and the service, but quite pricey. Breakfast service was understaffed and ran out of the very good bread and viennoiserie by 09.45.

Would stay here again

Unable to find anyone when I arrived but after about 5 minutes two staff appeared and from then on it was a fab experience. The room was lovely and a nice shower room too. good wifi and tv in room and a nice big window with a view of the train station running from st Malo to Rennes which is right outside the hotel. I did not eat at the restaurant but it looked lovely and the menu looked good. Hotel has a lift and the layout is pleasant.

High quality hotel that didn't break the bank!

From start to finish, the experience was brilliant. We were given a warm welcome, the lady showed us the room herself, the room was of very high quality (oak and brass doors and furnishings) and the meal in the restaurant was amazing - food and friendliness of staff! Breakfast was self-service and of very high quality - fresh-baked croissants, etc. The staff, again, were very polite and accommodating, and the final checkout was warm and courteous. Our room did overlook a level crossing, but the window shut out the sound perfectly. It was just a lovely hotel!

Very nice hotel, at a very reasonable price. Amandine on reception was very helpful and gave us a tour of the facilities. Room was very traditionally decorated, bed very comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Very nice indoor swimming pool. Hotel is right next to a train station, very convenient for a short train ride to St. Malo. Restaurant very expensive so didn’t try it. Bar had no atmosphere which was a shame, and service in the bar was incredibly slow. Overall we enjoyed our very comfortable stay and very good value. We will return in the future

I liked the amazing food in the brasserie, the big bed room, luxury bed linen, the large shower, impressive grounds, helpful friendly English speaking staff and the swimming pool. location is very convenient for the ferry crossing. I do think the pool should be open before breakfast. It is healthy to swim before if you can. I recommend 8am. Didn't like the noise of the traffic much because of the busy road near by and would request quieter room next time. Plus we were disappointed there was no dairy free spread for my husband at breakfast. However we will return again.

Lovely place to stay

This hotel is lovely. We were only there unexpectedly for two nights due to a car breakdown and we’re busy doing things so didn’t eat there or use the facilities- pool and jacuzzi looked fab- but the reception staff we dealt with were absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful
