Le Secret is an absolute stunner. If you appreciate taste, elegance, and relaxed sophistication, you will love this intimate B&B. Jérôme and his team have created a meticulously crafted jewel in the peaceful harbor town of St-Martin-de-Ré. Upon arriving, you will feel immediately at ease. The rooms are designed with the epitome of taste — rich colors, beautiful hardwood, gorgeous furnishings, an immaculate curation of art, and extraordinarily comfortable bedding. The garden is a sanctuary of peace where you have the option to have home cooked breakfast every morning (and you should — it is exquisite). The location is perfect — close to everything you need and it’s a great base for exploring the island by bike or by car. As a bonus, you will get to meet the magnificent Phénix, the owner’s sweet dog. He is an angel and reflects the peace and subtle grandeur of the space. I travel quite a bit for work and pleasure and I can say without hesitation that Le Secret is one of the best places I have ever stayed. I can’t wait for my return visit!

Perfection and peace

Lovely hosts, couldn’t do more for us. Location was incredible, about 10 steps from the harbour front. The room was perfect, had all we needed and was beautifully decorated. The pool was ideal, small but just what we needed. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

A real sanctuary in the middle of town

Stayed here for 2 nights and what a fabulous sanctuary, we know the town well from numerous day trip but wanted to stay overnight to see the beautiful lace go to sleep and wake up. The hotel is right in the middle of Saint Martin but so far away from the tourist throng. It is amazing, so chic and comfortable, the garden with pool is so quiet, the owner so friendly and if you stay you must have drinks in the tower, what views
