We spent our evening walking through the little community, the street was filled with shops and onsen, view along was amazing!!

The hotel is near the Yodanaka Station, it takes 5-10mins walk. If you will drive over there, the hotel will provide the free parking. Also, they were so nice to clean up the snow every morning.
Also, it may take 15-20mins walk to the Shibu Onsen.
For skiing, it can take 30mins driving to Shiga Kogen. It takes 45mins driving to Nozawa Onsen Snow Resort.
Hotel provided a delicious meal and kids friendly. They provided a different set for the kid.

「Location is good, opposite is the ski resort, which has good snow. Overall room was well maintained, public Onsen was nice too. However we came during early ski season, there is barely any restaurants opens. Hotel cafe food is a bit expensive, and not much choice (mainly western). If plan to stay may order half board instead, or tell hotel staff to reserve dinner before 10am」
「This Ryokan was quaint in the perfect way. It felt traditional without the modern flair. The owner was amazing and drove me to the snow monkey park at no cost. The onsen was perfect and tatami room was gorgeous. Amazing view around the town with the snow.」
