The hotel room was clean. I asked for the eco service but still didn’t receive towels. At check-in I felt very rushed. As I was entering my information, I was asked for my passport, then in reaching for my passport they wanted me typing my information. Three front desk staff talking and explaining while checking in. Difficult getting a taxi. Anytime I went to the desk I was treated like I was bothering them. After traveling throughout Japan, this is not the hospitality of other top Japanese hotels. The experience was just ok.

Clean room. Room size was good. Friendly staff. Free to borrow umbrellas. Free coffee in lobby. We did not eat breakfast there. Dinner was good. We went in November, hotel didn't seem very busy. The town seems quiet. Very close to train station. We went to the snow monkey park and Obuse.

Staff is extremely friendly and the parking space is very nice. Bath is awesome and the amenities are very great, you can enjoy the best bath after a full day business or trip. This is a great hotel and should be recommended, definitely 10 stars.

Stayed three nights to ski the nearby resorts. Easy, and free, parking right in front of the hotel. The building itself seems new. Check in was quick. Very friendly lady at the counter. Nice onsen on the first floor. Very nice breakfast. Unfortunately, the bed was very hard, uncomfortably hard, and there didn't seem to be many restaurants around the hotel. So I ate one night in the hotel's restaurant. While the food was good, ordering it was difficult. The restaurant uses a QR code system, so you need your phone; but there is no English option for overseas guests. I speak and read a little Japanese, and I was able to figure it out (after consulting, in Japanese, with the waitress). But if I had trouble, I think it would be impossible for someone who doesn't speak any Japanese. So if the hotel wants overseas guests, the manager should consider having an English menu (Korean and Chinese too?) or restaurant staff who speak some English. Despite these minor problems, I enjoyed my stay.
