「The room was clean and the breakfast was good The only issue was the stairs to the room as our room was on the 3 floors there were a lot of stairs to climb and we both OAP which was very tiring. On the hold it was a good experience but we would not stay again due to the stairs.」

「Property staff were going arm and welcoming. The inn is dated and not exceptionally maintained. There were loose fittings, mold in bathrooms and the curtains were missing some hooks and drooped a bit. The location and setting were classic, but for the cost the quality lagged a bit.」

「What lovely staff, so friendly. This is the best place i have stayed in yet on my Coast to Coast walk. Breakfast was amazing, apart from the usual full english (which loses its novelty after 5 days!) chose eggs benedict which was perfectly cooked and made a lovely change. Room was spacious and bed comfy. All together a great place to stay.」

「Very pleasant small property. 5 mins walk from central Ambleside. Well equipped and warm. Perhaps a bit small for a family of 4 but great for two people. Nicely decorated with thoughtful touches. Only one parking space but a car park 4 mins walk down the hill. Would recommend.」

「A great property. Excellent location, in a quiet location but also very close to the shops. The kitchen diner was a great space and well equipped. Three very spacious bedrooms, the fourth was small but ok. Only grumble would be the tv rather small and hand soap dispenser was empty. Would certainly recommend」

「The check in information did not arrive in time and it took 15 min to call and sort things out. Otherwise, there is no complaint on the property. Street parking with permit, it sometimes needs luck to find a nearby parking space.」
