"A lovely quiet place perfect for a night away. Clean and comfortable. Great host, always there to help out. Just be aware that the hot tub is a paid extra, something that is not mentioned but that is not the hosts fault. They are unsure why that information is missing from the listing. Hotels.com were useless at trying to sort that out. But don't hesitate to book this place, just maybe drop them a message about using the hot tub first. Thanks for a great stay Jenna, nice to meet you 👍"

"Great location , friendly staff and really enjoyed their food , standard pub food but very well cooked and tasty"

"Very convenient location, 9mins walk from station and 7mins walk to start of shopping area. Room was pleasant with lovely large bathroom. Clean bedlinen and comfortable bed. Shower was excellent and spacious. Nice to have coffee machine in room. Breakfast was very good and done to order. My only issues were that to access my room i had to use an outdoor fire escape and walk across roof - this was safe and easy to do but not ideal with luggage, nor was it welcoming. There was a indoor staircase near my room and I couldn't understand why a few hotel guests weren't allowed to use this. There were only a few rooms that had to use fire escape, there were others not affected by this arrangement. The other issue was lack of comfortable chair(s) in the room. Sitting on bed to watch TV isn't very comfortable after a while as the height of TV hurts your neck."

"The room itself was really nice, clean and great amenities. I was a bit disappointment that no notification had been given for the pub itself being closed, especially for the England game. However breakfast was still served the next day, I spoke to the owner and found out about an electrical issue in the pub so that made sense. I am about to book for another night soon, so I would definitely recommend staying here."

"The hotel was very dated and our room was small. We were in an attic room and the stairs up to it were steep and not very wide.There was far too much furniture in the room for the size of it. The bed was a very small double bed but it was clean. There was nowhere near the dressing table to plug in my hairdryer or straightners. The meals at night were ok but the breakfast was really good. All of the staff were helpful and very pleasant. We enjoyed the beer garden but it could have been better kept."
