What a great find; such a unique location just outside of town. This is an old forestry school and we appreciated the thoughful nods to its history. The front desk was SO helpful and friendly. Upon checking in, our room was on the 2nd floor. My friend sprained her ankle the day before and I asked if they had an elavator (they dont) but they offered to change our room and move us to the first floor to make it easier. This was such a kind gesture and much appreciated. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable beds! The lobby is super fun. You can buy snacks and they had some fun trinkets and souvenirs. There were always a few people hanging out watching the Olympics with a beer or coffee. You can get beverages and hot drinks from reception. They also have a bar/lounge area that looked fun. The restaurant was fabulous. The food was SO good. Definitely make sure to eat at least one meal there! Get the Reindeer Soup. We ate dinner here twice; the first time was out of convenience after travelling all day, the second time out of choice. We had reserved the barrel sauna and river ice plunge. The owner Mikko, escorted us down to the river and was very helpful in getting the sauna going and chipping away at the ice so we felt comfortable getting up and down the ladder leading into the river. We loved everything about this place. Having a car was definitely helpful, as it is 15 minutes from Rovaniemi. Thank you for a great stay!

Hotel was clean and cozy and the staff was very nice and helpful. I arrived early before check in and was truly appreciative they were able to get me in the room early. Restaurant was great with a good variety of options, including at the buffet breakfast. I only wish the location was more central, there is nothing walking distance to it. If staying here I recommend having a car, or know you'll need to uber/taxi into town and back. Public transportation is very limited even during high season so it's not really an option. Despite this, I would definitely stay here again.

Loved my stay here! No elevators so just beware, the restaurant was fabulous and I loved walking the property grounds and seeing the northern lights! The complimentary breakfast was fabulous and with so many options! The fresh baked bread was delicious. My only negative remarks are the walls are thin. I heard my loud neighbors throughout the night. I also wish the sauna was available later at night and for longer.

Nossa estadia foi maravilhosa. Os funcionários são gentis e atenciosos. O quarto foi confortável e tudo funcionou perfeitamente. O hotel é apenas 17 km de Rovaniemi por uma estrada bem tranquila. O estacionamento é espaçoso e o hotel está numa localidade linda. Os jantares que tivemos feitos pelo cozinheiro Tamer foram especiais! Muito obrigada pelo acolhimento!

Impecable rooms. You’ll love this hotel surrounded by trees and lakes nearby. Good for nature enthusiasts. 20min drive to Santa Claus Village. While we saw buses and stops within one mile or so, having a car would be a must to fully enjoy the area and commute easily. Parking is free. Staff is very nice and friendly. Room size is fair. Absolutely recommended.

We had a great stay! Accommodations and breakfast were very good. Staff was friendly. We were also able to enjoy the sauna. The location is more secluded and we had a rental car but if you’re not planning to do so, be aware that you will need to uber/taxi anywhere. I’d definitely recommend this hotel!!

Our stay was great! Very nice accommodation and breakfast. Friendly staff as well. We were also able to enjoy the sauna. The location is far from downtown but we wanted to be more secluded and we had a rental car. If you are not planning to do the same, just be aware that you will need to taxi/uber to go anywhere.

Clean room, very comfy, and fantastic helpful staff - they made us feel very welcome. As far as facilities I enjoyed the sauna and the lovely firepit by the frozen river. The sledges all around the hotel were a lovely touch - our kids had a ball just playing in the snow!
