"It was great location wise for where our sporting event was, but it was defiently very dirty. I was expecting the sandman west to have similar standards to the Sandman in Sherwood Park. Our room was not clean and our sink was still full of rhyme and it looked like black stuff splattered inside of our sink as well as a lot of crumbs left on the floor. The pool was very full of Young hockey kids which is fine but there was no one there just overseeing and keeping it tidy. We woke up the next morning and the table we sat at was absolutely disgusting so even overnight as no one was in the pool area. no one came to come and clean it. The chairs were a mess. Everything was very disorganized and just honestly it felt very dirty. From the moment we stepped in the stairs were full of gunk and garbage and just very not taking care of a well. My mom and dad also stayed in a room where their toilet leaked and the plumber came to fix it and left all of the dirty wax ring and the grease from it and all of his tools in their room so when they came back, they couldn’t even utilize your bathroom and then had to call another plumber and then when that plumber left, they still left cleaning supplies in the bathroom definitely not worth staying when you’re paying that much for a room and the cleanliness just isn’t there I didn’t even feel comfortable walking on bare feet in any of the hotel rooms with all of the messes and stuff that we ended up finding"

"The cooked breakfast which we paid for was terrible. It I’d doubtful that the scrambled eggs that had an almost rubberized texture never saw a chicken. Thankfully there were cereal and bread alternatives. This was not the quality I have experienced in other Hilton hotels. Staff were excellent, the room was clean."

"The property was pretty run down. The bathrooms were tiny and dated. We were disappointed because we weren’t informed at all during our booking or even A heads up closer to that the water was going to be shut off on 2 out of 3 of our days from 11-5. Valet and the bell men were amazing and very helpful. One positive is that it’s attached to the mall and convenient. 1/2 the water slides weren’t in use due to construction and active sawing of the concrete under the waterslides which made a haze and a loud pitch whirring noise on top of all the noise of the water slide and kids screaming. Galaxyland rides weren’t all open because they didn’t have enough staff. And it was dirty and construction everywhere….. a bit disappointing…."

"Spacious rooms and good breakfast. It’s close to West Edmonton Mall and around 28-30 minutes away from the airport (YEG). My family loves it so much !"

"Clearly an old hotel.. staff was sweet and bed was comfortable. But the rooms were old a weathered. Door looked like it was broken into and when I went back the next day to get my deposit back the windows were smashed in.. definitely not my type of hotel for the price"
