"The hotel is absolutely wonderful. The staff are incredibly friendly and always happy to help. The location is perfect, with the train station, the beach and plenty of shopping just a short walk away. The housekeeping and breakfast were both excellent. "This hotel is wonderful… it’s old-style hospitality at its best, and very romantic. The grounds, pool and beach are fabulous, and spotless. Breakfast is fresh, varied and plentiful… staff friendly and accommodating. There is a mercato not far from the hotel where you can pick up some deli bits, fresh bread and fruit for lunch on your balcony (room has a fridge). Silvi itself has seen better days - although some decent pizzerias, seafood places and gelateria can still be found on the main drag. If you are looking for high end restaurants and shops this location is not for you. But if you are looking for a lovely simple beach break this is perfect."

"I’ve stayed at the Smeraldo many times, this time was no disappointment. Rooms always great and spotlessly clean. Breakfast an amazing selection of delights and an especially a large collection of cakes. This time for the very first time I tried out the spa in the basement. This was an amazing experience. Saunas, steam room, ice and cold water room, a salt bath and also jacuzzi type baths. Felt super relaxed afterwards."
