I stayed here for 4 nights and had an enjoyable stay. The hotel is a little dated but it was clean and comfortable. The room was basic but served it's purpose. Where the hotel really excelled was with it's abundant French breakfast of Juice,Croissant, jam, butter, bread and hot drinks. More than enough to prepare you for the day. The dinners were amazing. Served with courtesy and plentiful. Also a nice daily variation. I would certainly reccomend this place if you are looking for something simple yet good value for money.

More like a motel than a hotel. No one present upon arrival. We found a workman at the back who phoned someone to open up. Surly and unhelpful, although there is a restaurant no food served Sunday evening or Monday morning.

Hotel was closed when arrived. Eventually opened

Arrived at 4:30pm.to find hotel completely shut with no signs. Tried calling owner but had no answer. There was no communication beforehand. Hotels.xom could not help so booked another hotel to find that after 45 minutes of waiting for the lights to suddenly turn on! The person at the counter spoke no English and did not explain why they were closed without notice. I couldn't get refund on other hotel I booked. Otherwise room and bathroom were very big, the outside is lovely, with flowers and gardens and there is free parking outside . No proper shower but bath was fine. The waiting around in frustration with my family tainted the stay however.

Le Lanthenay

Petit hôtel plein de charme avec une grande pelouse devant la façade qui sert de restaurant, sauf le 15 août , le jour de notre arrivée. Il nous a donc fallu en trouver un autre! Un petit rafraîchissement de la chambre N°15 : une poignée de porte de placard en moins, , la chasse d'eau à tirette un peu branlante et la baignoire avec une grosse tache jaune orangée au fond.De plus , l'eau chaude vient au bout de X minutes : quel gaspillage d'eau! Les taies d'oreillers propres, mais un peu vieillottes. Sinon endroit calme, juste à côté de l'église. Petit-déjeuner très correct dès 7 h du matin.

Pour le même prix de la chambre 70€ à Cherbourg j ai un 4 étoiles le Cercle avec machine à café et boisson fraîche dans la chambre et aucune vétusté concernant la douche . En + j avais réservé une chambre avec 2 lit et le soir en arrivant j avais une chambre avec 1 lit double , le patron m a donné une autre chambre pour avoir un autre lit et le lendemain on a eu une chambre familiale mais un lit avait des punaise de lit donc je suis rentrée avec ces bêtes à la maison , j ai fais un petit mail pour avertir l hôtel de contrôler leur chambre No 8 mais à ce jour je n ai tjr aucune réponse de leur part .

Nuit passée horrible : chambré infestée de moustiques, impossible de dormir la fenêtre ouverte pourtant la chambre était a une température hors norme. Une chaleur étouffante, qui nous a valu une nuit horrible. Outre ces faits qui peuvent être mis sur le compte de la météo, la chambre était vétuste, avec des odeurs d’humidité dans la salle de bain; et pire une chambre sans aération. Une expérience plus que ce décevante pour un prix non justifié (même si en France le prix des hôtels sont généralement chers pour la qualité)
