An Excellent Stay

An excellent stay at an excellent hotel, a 10-15 minute metro journey away from any site you would want to see in Rome, and even closer to the Vatican. Francesco is a wonderful host and took care of any needs / requests. He has great patience with any language barrier and provides a range of excellent and simple breakfast options each morning. The room and bathroom had the upmost hygiene and cleanliness and could not be faulted. All appliances such as the airconditioning and hair dryer worked perfectly with no issues, and I could not fault really anything about this stay - highly recommended!

Wunderschöne und ruhige Unterkunft

schöne kleine und schnuckelige Unterkunft, abseits er Touristenströme. Sie liegt direkt am Vatikan und auch zum öffentlichen Nahverkehr sehr gut zu erreichen. Rezeption ist sehr nett, hilfbereit und zuvorkommend. Alles in allem eine schöne Unterkunft, die ich jederzeit wieder besuchen würde.

Un house Relais meraviglioso. Immerso in un bellissimo giardino sul clivo vaticano. Le camere sono bellissime e arredate di gran gusto. Personale gentile e super disponibile, ci hanno dato tutte le info sul cosa visitare e dove mangiare. Dormire in questa villa vaticana è una buona alternativa al classico hotel. Ci torneremo presto

Terrible location. Had to walk up or down 1.5 blocks of steps to reach it. Very difficult with luggage. There was no sound proofing; therefore, it was very noisy. Dogs barking as well as noise from other guests were always present. The mattress had springs which jabbed into you, making sleeping difficult. Overall, this property was not a hotel. It was a guesthouse.

Poor directions to the location ! As the property is located up a steep staircase this is a big problem. When checking out we used the property’s cab service as we were told they would help us with the luggage; the morning of departure we were given our receipt and a notice that “begged” us to meet the cab on the street. No help with baggage, There are easily 100 steps. A cab charges 45 euro for a ride; the hotel charged 60. Would appreciate transparency in the pricing; here is what a cab charges, this is what we charge, then honor your advertised services. There is no full time service desk, no frig, microwave, ice and a charge for breakfast.

The admission was inaccurate when first signing in. People should be wary of the detailed deposit, expect a significant hold on your account. We have been mosquito bitten throughout our stay there as well.

Parking was expensive and a 15 minute walk. Lots of stairs to get to the property, so people that have any difficulties physically should not book this Absolutely no tolerance for late check in. Air conditioner did not work. It is relatively close to the Vatican and the metro Within waking distance

Extra cost of EUR 90, as our plane landed 18:15, and the reception closed 18:30. Hotel is very hard to find, no signs anywhere. Lots of stairs, not suitable for elderly or disabled persons. Central location, nice staff.

Great B&B near Vatican

It’s a very nice B&B near Vatican. Before I booked it I was worried about the stairs and car parking; but it was easy to reach, just few stairs, and there was a street car parking space, €4 per day. The villa has a very nice garden, the stuff was so kind and helpful. The walls between rooms were actually thin but it was still very quiet during our stay. It’s in a very good location to visit most of the touristic attractions. I would certainly stay there again.

Ett helt okej hotell, är mer som ett b&b utan frukost. Receptionen är sällan bemannad, kommer du för incheckning efter 18.30 får du betala extra om ens möjligt. Mycket trappor att bära ditt bagage upp för, läget är inte super. Gatan utanför är rätt trist, går du upp för trapporna hamnar du utanför muren till Vatikanen och kan följa den för att komma in till stan. Men planerar du att gå överallt så är det rätt långt räknat på några dagar. Tar 45 min att ta sig in till centrum, finns självklart Metro relativt nära men ”when in rome” vill man ju se så mycket som möjligt till fots. Rummet var ok, väldigt litet. Väggarna var tunna och kändes inte så välbyggda då de konverterat en liten övervåning till flertalet rum. Finns en bubbelpool i trädgården, men den får du endast andvända några timmar under dagen, ej efter 18.30. Annars är trädgården mysig, samt receptions området, men vi spenderade ingen tid där så det spelade inte in så mycket på vår upplevelse. Det var mitt fjärde besök i rom och nästa gång bokar jag något b&b eller hotel närmare stan igen.

The Long Weekend

The only critizism we have is there should be a mini fridge in the bedroom & a water filling station to fill water bottles, the walk to the hotel is very step so the least that can be done is to have a standpipe close at hand to have a drink of wather.

Det kunne vært mer sentralt, følte vi måtte gå fryktelig lenge for å komme til andre severdigheter enn Vatikanet. Det var fryktelig lytt, så slitsomt når andre sto opp på natta for å rekke flyet. Boblekaret ute kunne vært bedre rengjort. Fristet ikke å bade der. God seng, fint rom, deilig med air condition.

Gut war, dass sie sich um unseren shuttle- Service kümmerte obwohl wir einen auswärtigen shuttle Dienst gebucht hatten. Garten war eine kleine Oase, in dem betriebssamen Rom. Die Räumlichkeiten waren sehr individuell.

The hotel is clean and pretty modern. The reception girl was friendly and very helpful. She carried our luggage up and down on very steep staircases. We appreciate her kindness! But we shouldn't book this hotel at all. I mean there was no warning that one has to climb a pretty high mountain to get to the hotel. Besides, our room was on the upper floor and the hotel has no elevator. Instead it has a very steep staircase inside and very high and steep steps outside to reach rooms on the 2nd floor. And there was no luggage room on the 1st floor where we could leave our suitcases. Both my husband and I are over 75, so we would never book such a hotel.

Un séjour à deux à Rome

Un séjour de 3 nuits très agréable, hôtel très bien situé pour visiter Rome si on a pas peur de marcher un peu sinon il y a une station de métro à 2min à pied très très pratique. Seul inconvénient, les marchés que l'on ne peut éviter avec la valise. Personnel très sympathique et de bon conseil. Chambre fonctionnelle avec une belle baignoire à patte de lion.

Very noisey room and exploitative transfer costs!!

The Hotel needs sound proofing, you can hear the complete conversations of the people next door..and it is not that the other residents are noisey, rather there is only a very thin partition between rooms which means you are disturbed throughout the night with people moving around, flushing the toilet, having a shower or entering and leaving their room - it is brutal!! It is really a shame as the villa itself, the gardens and the room was lovely but it was totally spoiled by the noise factor as you simply cannot get a night of undisturbed sleep. Ironically the room had a wall mounted tv which you simply could not use due to the disturbance you would be causing to the other guests. Additionally BEWARE if you are unable to check in during appointed hours. If you are unable to do this depending upon your arrival time you have no option other than to use the villa’s pick up from the airport and you will be landed with a very hefty bill for €79 + nearly 30% tax so instead of an airport transfer cost of approximately €25 you will be landed with a bill in excess of €100 which is utterly outrageous and complete exploitation of your circumstances. The alternative advised is to book somewhere else for your first night and check in the following day...customer service?? Not in my book
