The apartment is in a safe neighborhood, close to two metro stations, one on each of the two lines, and within 20 minutes walking distance to the train station, to the opera, major museums and ancient ruins, and several of Rome’s most important churches. It is a five-minute walk (through a lovely underused park) to the Colosseum and the Forum. The apartment is a bit smaller than I expected, but certainly suitable for an individual or a couple. I especially appreciated the host’s supply of coffee pods, enough to last my eight-day stay. There is a decent grocery store five minutes from the apartment. One thing lacking in the area are decent places to eat out. I also missed a decent lounging chair in the apartment. Sitting on the bed was more comfortable than either of the supplied chairs, Altogether, this is an enjoyable, convenient unit, highly recommended.
