「This hotel provides a basic room. We did not get food here. (Breakfast cost extra) The room had a very strong mothball smell so we opened the window and left a floor fan running all night. Bedside areas need outlets to plug in phones so these rooms need updating. The sink did not have hot water. For the price this room was not worth it.」

「The hotel is a typical old pub, the staff lovely and welcoming. The stairways and walls are dated, but the rooms are tidy, clean, comfortable and cosy. The full breakfast was beautiful. I enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay again. For your evening meal we went to the Caven Arms on the recommendation of the hotel/pub manager and that was delightful too. 」

「I can’t fault the Sure Hotel in Lockerbie. A beautiful building, fantastic en suite room, very clean and modern. Or host, the manager Glen couldn’t have been more helpful. Plenty of free secure parking and we ended up taking a lovely stroll into Lockerbie for dinner. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel, great staff who are so helpful. We’ll definitely be going again. 」

「Great place to stay in Moffat's main street. I had a single room with spacious bathroom, kettle with coffee/tea, biscuits and milk in a fridge with bottled water and cola. Comfortable bed and all spotlessly clean. Friendly bar with nice varied menu plus good breakfast. Loads of parking outside. Really enjoyed my stay.」
