Only stayed here as we were visiting family in the area. $200 for the night was not worth it. Room smelt musky. Furniture was ripped and taped together. Apparently the hotel has only one luggage cart. I went to lobby to get luggage cart as we were getting ready to check out. I returned to my room and was followed by an employee. She knocked on my door and I said “yes”. She asked if I was checking out. Mind you it was 9:15 am. I responded “in a few minutes”. She then asked if there was anything I needed? I said no. We left the room approximately 5 minutes later. I said something to the apparent manager that I was followed to my room because I took the luggage cart. Ridiculous that an employee would do something like that. I’ll never stay at this hotel again.

Here’s a polished, professional version of your review that still keeps your voice and honesty: I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn Laurinburg, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing overall. While the lobby appeared clean and well-maintained upon arrival, the rest of the property did not reflect the same standard. The elevator had a noticeable musty odor, which immediately raised concerns. Once in the room, it became clear that cleanliness was an issue—there were visible stains on the carpet, the stairs in the room had not been properly cleaned, and the shower curtain was dirty. Additionally, I noticed spider webs on the lamps and even old eyelashes on the floor, which was especially unsettling. These details made the space feel neglected and uncomfortable. Based on this experience, I would not choose to stay at this location again. I hope management takes steps to improve cleanliness and overall maintenance for future guests.

Breakfast was average or what is the norm for most hotels. I appreciate the coffee always being available. The air in the room was fine, worked well with no issues and not too loud. The day staff was usually no where to be found never at the desk. When I needed assistance I had to go knock on the office door to get someone to help me. A homeless person was asleep on the couch in the dining area. The evening staff , mainly female, were friendly and always at the desk. The shower curtain was ripped and mildew was growing in the bathroom on the sealant and shower bar. When we requested room cleaning, the towels were replaced. The beds were not touched, I mean, sheets not changed or beds made. The bathroom had broken tiles and trim and paint on the back of the door that didn’t match?! For the nightly price of the room, I was very disappointed. I will choose another hotel the next time I’m in the area. The staff was friendly, but friendly doesn’t always translate into great service and clean environment.

Property needs a complete update. Check in went quickly but when I went to the room the door was propped open and the bathroom looked as though it was being worked on. Went back downstairs and was assigned another room. At 12:30 am a couple in another room on the second floor were arguing, cussing, slamming doors. Called downstairs and attendant came up to observe and knocked on that door. Finally quieted down but at that point I was awake and probably everyone else on that floor. The only positive thing to say was your lady that hosted breakfast. My stay did not reflect what I paid for the evening THE WORST stay I’ve ever had at a Hampton Inn! I use to be a Diamond Member back in the back and travelled the southeastern US. Feel like I need a refund! UPDATE YOUR PROPERTY PLEASE IN LAURINBURG! It’s hurting your brand!
