The room was a moderate price so I was not too surprised that it had a leaking shower and the bathroom door did not shut. The shower curtain was mouldy. Nowhere to put anything down in the bathroom as the only space on the sink had the liquid soap. The soap dispenser on the wall was not used. There was a kettle but no way to get clean cups once the two issued ones had been used. No breakfast available which was frustrating as the nearest cafe is a not very close.

I booked this hotel for a one night stay. Then I read the reviews and wondered if I’d made a bad mistake. However, I can honestly say that we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was quiet, clean and we were treated very well. Excellent value for money.

Extremely disappointing and unacceptable treatment at RBS Hotel, Strood I am extremely disappointed by the way I was treated by Mr Basu at RBS Hotel in Strood. While attempting to check out, I was met with what I found to be an unnecessarily rude, abrupt, passive-aggressive and dismissive attitude. Instead of dealing with the situation calmly and professionally, I felt that my concerns were repeatedly ignored and that I was being treated with disrespect. When I challenged Mr Basu about his conduct and made it clear that I was unhappy with the way I was being spoken to, rather than attempting to resolve the matter, he escalated the situation and subsequently banned me from staying at the hotel. I found this response completely disproportionate. A customer should be able to raise a concern about the way they are being treated without being punished for doing so. Being banned simply after challenging what I considered to be inappropriate conduct was extremely disappointing. I also felt that the manner in which I was treated was discriminatory. I cannot understand why a straightforward checkout and complaint had to become so confrontational, and I believe the circumstances deserve proper consideration by the hotel's management. This was not simply a case of a staff member having a bad day. The way the situation was handled made me feel unwelcome, disrespected and unfairly singled out. I would strongly recommend that the management of RBS Hotel review this incident.

Limited parking - nearest car park 5 minute walk

I couldn't park which was a hassle, I had to park around 5 - 10 minutes away. There is limited parking which is great if you arrive early. The hotel itself was comfortable and ideal for my business trip. Staff were friendly and polite.
