We were supposed to get free breakfast. One morning we had to pay. The driver that picked us up was not from the hotel— because that shuttle was being used. We paid the driver for the fee but he told the hotel we did not pay him. So we had to pay for the second time for the shuffle to the hotel. The pictures on line are not realistic.

Marina view wasn’t a view of anything but a pile of dirt. Room was very clean, pool and restaurant was wonderful, went two days with no hot water but they did get that fixed. Just little issues but over all I would go back and stay but stay in the garden view.

Rooms are comfortable but noisy next to a busy road. The hotel does not have any beach access so you have to pay to go use a beach elsewhere. Staff did not communicate very well.

It was very disappointing to get ripped off by the bartender. At first she decided to automatically include her tip without asking. I was surprised but didn't complain. I had one more drink. She took very long to give me my change back so I left. She came later to my room to give me my change. I didn't count it at that minute but put the money down to finish brushing my teeth. That night I noticed that my change was $10 short I brought it up the next day during lunch. Not only did the bartender attempt to lie to me about the price of the drink I had, the the waitress came to my table and started to argue with me that it was not the case. I finally had to explain to me that I shouldn't have to explain myself after I got robbed. The next thing I knew is that the receptionist came to my table to tell me to hurry because there was lots of people taking the ferry that day. I hurried and made it to the ferry an hour early. The ferry was almost empty. I deducted that they wanted me to leave the restaurant. I was not making a scene, but trying to eat my lunch in peace looking at the horrid creepy life size pirates sculptures around the dining room. I will never come back to this thieving place.

This property is not in the right area. I found out that West End & West Bay is where it’s touristy without having to pay for cabs to go anywhere. It was costly to cab it to the beach area - $30 usd. And it was $20 usd from & to the airport. There’s only 1 restaurant on site & a supermarket across the street. The Megaplaza had nothing good & was a 15 min walk or so. There was no wifi for 2 days straight !!! There was up to 4 power outages in 1 night that would last a minute to few minutes. They didn’t clean the room when I had the sign on the door on day 3. The pillows smelt bad - like when laundry is still damp & you put it away leaving that stench on it. Other nights it smelt like vinegar …but the sheet & blanket was fine. The safe in the room didn’t work & there’s no full length mirror in the room plus the bathroom mirror was to the right side of the sink. The tv is to the side as well but it can turn out sideways. There’s no mini fridge either just a coffee cup machine or maybe it was just a hot water kettle. I don’t recommend this place at all.

I booked this property through Expedia for my family of five, expecting a clean, safe, and comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the experience was the complete opposite. After a long day of travel with three young kids, we arrived to a room that smelled musty, was uncomfortably hot (AC was too small to cool it), and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The bedding seemed unwashed, the bathroom was moldy, the towels were ripped, and the floor was dirty. The front door had visible damage, like it had been previously kicked in and poorly repaired. We carried all our luggage up to the second floor ourselves — no staff offered help. The area felt unsafe, with people watching from across the street. The second room they offered us looked just as bad. We immediately packed up and left. While we’re still working with Expedia for a refund (the hotel is being difficult), I want to be clear: I would never put my family’s safety and comfort at risk over $600. Yes, I’m upset about the money, but peace of mind on vacation is priceless. I hope this review helps other families avoid the same mistake. What you see online is not what you get.

I stayed in a nice room with Ocean view #308. the bathroom, the bed, and the small refrigerator were good. They are located nearby a large supermarket. The place is in an area that you need a car to stay here. There is nothing nearby. You cannot walk to restaurants or to a beach. They have a small pool with a nice view to the ocean. The best part of the hotel was the dive shop. The dive master is excellent (Bruce), he learned to dive in the Honduran Navy. Also, he help me make small repairs to my scuba equipment. These are things they can improve. The general internet connection was not good, we complained and they ended up helping us. You should NOT need a code for each device that connects to the internet (each phone and each laptop) , that is ridiculous. We complained about it and they listened and helped. The breakfast was ok. And, we had to ask for bread, jelly, and butter, otherwise, they would not bring it to us. At first, I did not know they had bread or juice, I had to ask to find out. Their breakfast buffet table was missing several things, if you did not ask, you did not get. Same with service for the room, we asked for it to be cleaned after two days without service. The following day it was cleaned and they brought us fresh towels. The faucet handle on the shower was broken, the drain cover in the sink was broken. At the end, they were friendly and they listened to us.
