Very basic but clean, booked as bed and breakfast.....no breakfast! Problem with the water in the bathroom wash basin, just dribbling out (low pressure?) and it never did get hot despite running it for ages! No options for food on site! Somewhat disappointing.

The Accommodation is very dated, it was clean by very shabby. I managed to get the TV working but it was on an aerial and was unwatchable.

The room including the ensuite was clean. Towels and drink making facilities provided but I would have liked a decaff. I was on my own but the space would have been tight for two of us. The room was dark and the main light didn't give off much light. Unfortunately the room did have a damp and musty aroma. I couldn't get any wifi which I'm sure was advertised as free. Check in was easy enough as the pub was open when I arrived. Limited parking at the property but I found free parking nearby on the main road. At £100 per night it wasn't cheap- I was up for a college reunion so maybe demand had an effect on dynamic pricing.

The rooms were around a courtyard. Our room had no windows so no ventilation unless the outer door was open. When we arrived the heating was full on. We spent the evening with the outer door open to cool the room down. The general appearance was shabby with some of the furniture old and broken. The shower is in need a bit of attention as the hot water was a bit intermittent. The bed although OK although could do with replacing. Just enough parking but could be awkward for bigger vehicles. Overall very disappointing. I will be more careful in booking in future.

Truly one of the worst stays I've ever had. The room smelled terribly of damp, the bed and carpet was ripped and stained, thick layers of dust on almost every surface, mould in the bathroom, shower leakage, and dead plants in the courtyard. The cleaning staff barged into our room in the morning without knocking, waking us up two hours before our checkout time. The staff was basically non-existent, and as the pub only opens around noon, it's impossible to get any help in the mornings. The price of the room was an absolute joke, I truly wouldn't have paid £10 to stay here. Ripon is a small location with not many accommodation options, so they are blatantly trying to rip you off. It was only a 2 night stay, but I my partner and I ended up needing to clean most of the room just to be comfortable staying there. I cannot stress this enough, STEER CLEAR!!
