Excellent stay! The room was spotless and very comfortable, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, AC worked perfectly and parking was easy and convenient. Everything exceeded my expectations - highly recommended!
We had a very pleasant two-night stay. The location was perfect, and the food at the hotel restaurant was delicious and very reasonably priced. The service was excellent, and overall, we had a really enjoyable experience.
Our only minor disappointment was being charged for the drinking water in the room. It would have been a nice touch to provide this complimentary. Other than that, everything was excellent, and we would be happy to stay again.
I would have loved to have a kettle in the room to boil water at night
They should also provide complimentary bottle of water on the first day of arrival.
Apart from this the hotel was good, service was also good.
The room was good and staff were well-behaved and helpful. My only reason for a 4 star instead of 5 star is that I was given a room on the 5th floor with a view of another tower of a neighboring hotel.
On the plus side the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The buffet breakfast was excellent, really top quality breakfast. On the downside there was no tea/coffee making facility in the room. Had to pay for a bottle of still water on check out. Nearly every other hotel I stay in would have complimentary water. The staff at the pool bar were not very friendly at all (maybe we caught them on a bad couple of days).
Our stay at the Windsor Towers in Rio de Janeiro was wonderful, and the experience was elevated even more by the exceptional front desk service. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well cared for.
One individual who truly stood out was Guilherme. His service went far above and beyond anything we could have expected. Because we did not speak the language, he took it upon himself to ensure we were fully supported—finding solutions, contacting the right people on our behalf, and advocating for us every step of the way. What impressed us most was that he continued to follow through and make sure everything was resolved even on his day off.
Guilherme’s professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for our well-being were remarkable. Despite his extraordinary efforts, he humbly kept saying he was “just doing his job.” If that’s the case, then Windsor Towers is incredibly fortunate to have someone of his caliber on their team. He is truly an outstanding individual and a credit to the hotel.
We are extremely grateful for his help and highly recommend Windsor Towers to anyone visiting Rio. Service like this makes all the difference and turns a great stay into an unforgettable one.
—Thank you, Guilherme, and thank you, Windsor Towers!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Room was clean, staff very helpful, pool and sauna clean and well maintained, excellent breakfast and free activities (exercise, yoga and stretching) included. Excellent italian/pizza themed restaurant in the building. Good selection of restaurants/bars nearby.
Downsides/hotel. no kettle/tea/coffee in the room. Bottled water in the fridge priced as at airports, the cafeteria does not have water refill station (the breakfast water stations have note not to refill, duly ignored by some guests despite reasonable hygiene reasons). !!The hotel could do much better on this, especially that there is no close supermarket near by (at least within my walking safety limits, one needs an uber/taxi, see below for security). Only staff at the reception/restaurant and phone helpline speak good english, outside this hard to communicate (esp. bell boy team, sports activity teams). My door card died on me twice (+once on a friend) requiring to rush back back to reception to get a replacement (Unsure, if this is security measure to make sure the guests are alive (along the inevitable in many hotels now daily calls if you hang out privacy notice) or a tech glitch...)
Downsides - general/area. While not a favela, I heard a conference attendee was robbed at gunpoint on street between Tower and Atlantico, another friend had belongings stolen on the beach. There is a lot of visible security, unsure what they do beside the show. Definitely far more action is needed from the Brazilian government.
Nice enough hotel. What we didn't like was that we were charged for the bottles of water in the room, especially since the hotel warns guests that the hotel water isn't drinkable! A big warning should be put on the fridge telling you that you will be charged if you drink the small plastic bottles of water (which are free in nearly every hotel I've ever stayed at). Also, the check-in procedure takes way too long. What on Earth are they typing into the computer, a novel?? This despite me filling in all my details before arrival and again before checking in (via a QR code). That QR code asks lots of bizarre stuff like what's my most common mode of transport and what race I identify as. Maybe that's what they're spending all their time (re)typing.
Great stay. Only feedback is you should have coffee or tea in the room and considering you don’t advise drinking the water, you should provide some bottles for free per day… even 1!
