Iceland living like a local

This is literally someone's house that they rent out. You are in a neighborhood (with neighbors that have dogs that bark and babies that cry - if this will bother you it might be a problem). There are narrow streets and it is a little difficult to find - our GPS kept bringing us to the main street that runs alongside the house but doesn't actually allow access to it. It was great having the three bedrooms, a complete kitchen with washer and dryer (a little tricky to figure out how to open!). The bathroom is very small but adequate. It had a leak but they responded quickly and said they would look into it. The place shows some wear overall but is kept nicely and was clean and looks exactly like the pictures on Hotels.com. The location is very close to the main shopping street, Tjörnin pond, the waterfront, etc. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here as long as you realize you are staying in someone's home and not a hotel.
