"Excellent clean newer remodeled room very nice. Good size refrigerator. Supposedly upgrading TV from 32" to bigger TVs would be quite nice and a necessary addition for sure"
"Our room and bathroom had been cleaned very well, but the room was outdated. The desk chair was a piece of junk and the easy chair and foot stool were quite stained and very dirty. Lighting was poor which is common in most hotels/motels.
Staff were great. Buffet breakfast was very typical and nothing in particular stood out. We found the mattress comfortable enough and supportive."
"Clean, comfortable, good breakfast and BONUS, it didn’t smell like weed, which is a rarity in California.
A little dated but a nice basic place to rest up, fuel up and get back on the road."
"My only suggestion would be to manage all expectations. If you're looking for a budget trucker-style hotel this is the place for you. The gentleman who "checked us in" didn't actually talk to us, just put a piece of paper in front of us for the individuals who were going to check in that night. We chose our piece of paper, I got a ding on my phone saying the payment had gone through, and that was that. When we left the next morning, he was washing his car outside and just kind of glared at us as we left.
The room itself was just sad. The bathtub was stained and the beds were questionable.
That being said, Kristy's Diner across the street was a decent diner with all the typical diner options. Other options in town as well would fit the bill.
We chose it because it was less expensive than the other name-brand options in town, but we have learned our lesson."
Days Inn by Wyndham Ridgecrest near China Lake Naval Station
8/10 Good
"Room was clean and comfortable, parking is plentiful and the owners clearly care for the property.
Breakfast was limited with only eggs, waffles and cereal available, air conditioning in the rooms is very loud and the TV, which was impressively large reboots each time the WiFi drops out, which is frequent.
Overall I’d stay again as it was good value and conveniently located. "
