Spark by Hilton Portland Airport Maine Mall
8/10 Good
"FYI: The breakfast room is upstairs. It's a beautiful and large room with tiny food options. Also there was a sign: If you can't find food options, buy them from us... um, we did. It's called breakfast included. The numbering of the rooms seriously needs to redone, so confusing. The hot water was hard to control. My shower kept scalding me. Not all of the doors to parking were accessible for reentry with a key."

"We stayed for 9 nights in a King Suite and it was nice to have the separation between the sitting area/kitchenette and the bedroom. The bed was comfortable and it was great to have a desk for a work area in the bedroom as well as a TV. The building has only been open for a couple of months so everything was clean and well maintained. Having the laundry facility was handy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.."

Portland Harbor Hotel

"Location is fantastic and staff was friendly. The room and common areas were acceptably clean. The room was pretty basic and felt a little cramped but I could have booked a suite and didn’t. Some of the maintenance could have been done better, which would have been more fitting for a well restored building, but whatever. Unfortunately, we had a room facing Fore Street, which apparently doubles as the Portland Drag Strip on Friday and Saturday night. Super loud motorcycles and cars sped past, revving engines, well after midnight. No clue why the PPD tolerates this. As others have mentioned, the Resort Fee is silly. Basically, you get charged $35 per day but can get use of those funds if you eat, or drink in their restaurant. We were informed of this upon checking in but I saw no mention of it during the booking process, but perhaps I simply missed it. Several States have outlawed such practices, often referring to them as “predatory pricing” because they’re normally not clear at the time of booking (up-front). Not a huge deal, as we simply had a drink in the bar every day, but you just wouldn’t expect it from a hotel that’s this nice otherwise. It just feels a but slimy. I’ll stay elsewhere next time, simply due to the noise, but obviously that’s something they can’t control."

Clarion Hotel Portland Airport ME

"My son left his basketball jersey in the room and we didn't realize it until we got to the venue. As I hurried back I called the hotel to see if they had picked it up. When I got there it was sitting at the front desk waiting for me. That saved me a lot of time! I wish I had gotten the young man's name but I was in a hurry."

Portland Regency Hotel & Spa

"We had breakfast both days of our weekend at the lovely first floor dining room. The tables were beautifully set and the food delicious. Both Patrick and John were standouts on the dining staff. "

Hyatt Place Portland Downtown - Old Port Square

"The hotel staff were great. The room was clean and comfortable. We stayed in the top room which was a corner room with a great view of Fore street If you plan to stay on a room facing Fore Street you better not be a light sleeper. This is not the hotel’s fault, there is a nightclub which can disturb your sleep. The city of Portland should consider an ordinance on engine idling noise after midnight. The hotel parking valet service was excellent and well worthwhile."
