"About 20 years ago this hotel was a Marriott and it was simply OK As the grand Hyatt, it is an exceptional hotel. The rooms are beautiful. The heating and air conditioning were perfectly. As is the case in most hotels room service is overpriced, but I rarely ate in the room. The lobby is exceptional. The staff are friendly and kind especially those who are Greek. This is a hotel that is in a transitional area of Greece-- 20 years ago was probably less habitable and only the intercontinental was here but now the modern museum is here. The Onassis center is here. There are numerous places to eat if you don't want to be in the center of all the chaos near Monsteraki Square I highly recommend this hotel as a New Yorker. The walk to the Acropolis, which is about 20 minutes seem like northing. For others Perhaps it might be a hike. The nearest metro is Syngrou Fux and it's about an eight when I walk for me about a 15 minute walk for most."

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was enhanced by the breathtaking view of the Acropolis, especially in the evening when it’s beautifully illuminated."

"The staff went above and beyond. We had an early morning flight for departure. They packed us a box breakfast and helped us with airport luggage cart for us to wheel luggage across the street to the airport. They also gave us information about taking the subway into Athens the afternoon before our departure. Hotel met all of our needs."

"The staff, the room, the beach were all great. This is a wonderful place to stay for me when arriving or leaving Greece. I would particularly like to mention Alexandra at the front desk. There was a large group checking out and because almost everyone had some problem it was taking a long time. Alexandra handled everyone with a serene calmness that relaxed the guest. She was patient and competent. The hotel should be happy to have her. Rick Callahan. "
