The land of fire and ice – Iceland. Though, after these 2 weeks I think I’m going to rename it the land of waterfalls and rainbows.
The Skógafoss waterfall is one of the waterfalls situated at the south coast of Iceland. It's lucky to see double rainbow during my visit in October 2017.
Conquer the 527 steps to the viewing platform at Skógafoss waterfall - gorgeous in and of itself - and over the stile to the trail beyond. The trail is over 20kms but even a very short day hike on the well marked start of the trail brings you amazing views of waterfalls on the Skoga river and the glaciers beyond. #Bestof5

What a wonderful place!! From the beautiful location, to the friendliness of the staff to the lovely room and sitting area. We loved our short stay. The breakfast was delicious and they had gluten free bread for this traveling celiac. Stay here if you are in the area!!
