"Es handelt sich um ein riesieges Holzgebäude,das jemand vor mehreren Jahren mit viel Liebe gebaut hat. Es liegt abseits der Straße auf einem Mischgelände aus Kuhwiesen u. Restwald. "I traveled to San Jose to visit my daughter while she was in an internship/study away program. Timing is everything and she ended up being terribly sick when I got there. I was so glad to have a clean, air conditioned place for her to recuperate with good food and helpful staff. After resting a few days at the Gran, she was ready for the remaining month of her program. Thank you to the staff who helped me get everything we needed to get her back up and running!"

"Everyone here was so kind, helpful, and attentive. The breakfast offered was bountiful and delicious, Dinner at the restaurant was superb, tasty drinks and the best ceviche ive ever had in my life. Lovely service, beautiful view of sunset from the roof top patio. The room was very comfortable and had a good view. The hotels esthetic is so cool, its a whole beautiful vibe. Felt very safe as a solo traveler. 10/10, would definitely reccomend it"

The interior design strikes a perfect balance between eco-friendly aesthetics and European comfort. Our room was comfortable with a breathtaking view. The heated blankets were an absolute lifesaver and a brilliant touch for the chilly mountain nights! The breakfasts were delicious, and the common areas had such a warm, inviting atmosphere in the evening. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone who cherishes tranquility, comfort, and quiet beauty. A perfect 10/10!"

"Excellent hotel overall. It is very convenient to everything to see in the central area. It is also close to a lot of nightlife activities including for the LBGTQ+ community. There are 4 packs within walking distance. Don't bother with breakfast. The food is tolerable. You're better off finding a cafe nearby."
