"The Prescott House was a nice change from a typical chain hotel. We had a lovely queen room with an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom had bath products and a hair dryer. The shower was very small. I expect a large person would have trouble showering in it. The room had a fireplace and wood which could be burned for a fee. There was also a new window air conditioner. We did not use it as we had ceiling fan as well as a small oscillating fan. Coffee was available 24 hours on the first floor. We also appreciated the basket of chocolate candy! The owners do ask that you remove your shoes in the foyer before entering. There are plenty of cubbies in which to place them. There are also slippers to use if desired. Also in the foyer were some hiking sticks to borrow. The inn was close enough to walk into town, though it is an uphill walk to get back. If we are ever back in the area, we would not hesitate to stay here again"

"Stayed here for Ironman weekend. Clean modern room, right by Whiteface and just 15 mins from Lake Placid. Wifi works, AC works, shower gets hot quick, and hosts were very responsive. No complaints!"

"We were in town for Ironman Lake Placid. This place was perfect. We loved how many places were walking distance. It was great as far as getting to the race in the morning. The staff was incredibly friendly. We loved the room. It was absolutely stunning there. Very comfortable stay. Loved the fire pit and Adirondack chairs around it. We would stay here again!"
