We had to book this room last minute due to unexpected road conditions. Pros: good parking, nice view from balcony, comfortable bed. Cons: bug in the shower, very unpleasant employee at front desk with absolutely 0 customer service ability. Overall, I most likely will not book here again due to poor customer service that affected my experience staying here.

The room was exactly what was advertised. The heat in the bedroom didn't work but the fireplace in the main room kept everything nice and warm.

This was genuinely the worst place I have ever stayed at in my life. We get to our room and the deadbolt on the door was snapped off, great start. I went to get in bed and there was A DEAD SPIDER underneath my pillow. I then went to go have a shower and was pleasantly surprised that I had to fix the shower faucet because the knob was broken and couldn't adjust the water temperature. AND THEN, yes there is more. I was having a shower and grabbed the handicap handle and it literally came out of the wall. All this time there was nobody at the front to talk to, even when we checked out of the hotel I couldnt complain as there was nobody at the front desk, only a basket for the room keys. Poor service and a horrible hotel. You'd be better off staying at a motel in town.

We normally love staying at the Radium Chalet, but couldn’t believe how run down it was this last time. It’s never fancy but certainly never this bad. Our room was so hot and even though we turned off both thermostats (one was loosely hanging on the wall) it was so uncomfortable we couldn’t sleep. One slept in the family room for our couples retreat. We tried to find help to see if it could be resolved but no one was ever at the front desk. The ceiling fan didn’t fit in the bthrm and was hanging off, the rocks on the fireplace were half fallen off, the outlet in the bedroom was only accessible by pulling out the drawer and leaving it on the floor. The vanity veneer was peeling off, the rolling blinds were duct taped up and ratty, and the walls and trim were chipped up and damaged. It would take so little money and a couple days of effort to get this place up to par but it seems they don’t care to ensure it’s a comfy stay for guests. I hope they fix it as we would like to return if these things are addressed. The views, room set up and pet friendliness are all great! But we need to be able to sleep!
