Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites White River Junction by IHG
6/10 Okay
"We were hoping for bacon but rumor has it that the new owners don't provide bacon anymore. Our granddaughter was disappointed as well. Also, the toaster took 5 times on high to cook my english muffin and no granola for my yogurt. We have stayed many times over the last 5 years and the value is gone. "
"The room was large and clean (except that the grout needed redoing) and the during the refresher night housekeeping appeared to leave our room before they finished (but it was basically done). The breakfast was really good and more than enough to keep us most of the day. There is a game room which looked good for the kids (or kids at heart). There is also a library with board games and a really old, broken and completely slanted pool table. The pool and sauna look really nice, although we did not use them. The hotel offered s'mores at dusk and had coffee and water available all day. It also has access to the river but, in early May, the yard area to the river was nothing special. The restaurant had good food and the drinks were worth the price. Although, generally, we liked the hotel, I'm still on the fence if it was worth $300/night. Generally, it probably is."
"Room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. Parking was easy. Location is good. Breakfast was basic. No hot food except do it yourself waffles. There were refrigerated breakfast sandwiches that were to be microwaved. Served our purpose perfectly."
"Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The Inn was very family friendly and they even gave my two year old daughter a stuffed moose! The staff was beyond friendly and very accommodating. They created such a beautiful atmosphere that all the patrons we ran into seemed so happy. We will definitely stay here again!"
"Older place yet clean. Bathroom lacked vent and steamed up very quickly. shower head was harsh with little adjustment.
Koi pond was cool. Pool and spa were okay. Breakfast was great. Desk staff were very friendly."
"The hotel is currently under construction, and we were unaware of this. I called in advance to discuss several things because my husband was going for surgery early in the morning. The Consiage had the opportunity to let me know. Several outlets in the room did not work, the mini fridge was plopped on the floor, and the rest of our room was piecemealed together. When I spoke with another guest getting room-temperature coffee in the lobby, I learned I had one of the better rooms.
I would recommend waiting until the construction is complete before staying here. "
"Staff and property was Excellent.
But EXPEDIA totally messed up the reservation. Their offshore help was friendly but very unhelpful.
Their unwillingness to resolve their screw-up cost be $$$ (and I am just a low paid worker), so it made the caused the entire stay to be miserable"
