"For the area of Sandakan that this hotel is in this is a pretty good option if you really have to stay here! I would not recommend the area at all. The staff here were very attentive and friendly. The room was adequate but the pillows were horrendous! Just lumpy lumps of hard sponge! "There are improvements being carried out, which will make a difference in the future. We were unable to get the advertised wifi at all, despite the router being reset many times. This was annoying. On four occasions we had random people enter our room without knocking, which was not okay. Once guy even got cross with us and said we should have locked the door.
