Our room was nice with a soaking tub and hot tub on the balcony. Staff was amazing. Buffet was just ok in my opinion. A big disappointment were the "credits" they promised. A $90 spa credit could be redeemed $30 per day. The other $200 "resort" credits came with so many limitations that we really didn't an opportunity to use them. That slick marketing was enough for me to potentially book elsewhere next time as that was a large factor in booking here.

Good resort, but not quite the VIP experience advertised We stayed at Paradisus Grand Cana in a swim-up room, which was definitely the highlight. The pool was beautiful, the beach was clean with very little seaweed, however i did notice how crowded the beach loungers are. Food was also slightly better than the average all-inclusive. That said, service was inconsistent. We arrived around 4 PM and our room still wasn’t ready. We also didn’t receive the welcome drink or cold towel that was listed during booking on Expedia. Our complimentary bottle of sparkling wine took multiple follow-ups and was only delivered the day before we left. Housekeeping was slow and sometimes left notes saying they couldn’t service the room even when it was accessible. Food and drinks were good but never consistent—same orders often came out differently each time. Specialty restaurant reservations were inconvenient since they must be done in person with long morning lines, so with kids we skipped them. One thing to note, loud music plays every night until around 11 PM, and even from Building 2 we could clearly hear the bass in our room. Checkout was fast and easy, and they did approve late checkout after we explained the earlier issues. Overall, it’s a nice resort with great facilities, but don’t expect a true VIP experience or highly attentive service.

Travelled to Paradisus with my husband and 2 young children (1 and 5 year old) and my in-laws. The resort is very family friendly with spacious and well-kept rooms. The entire property is spotless and staff are friendly. We booked our stay with the addition of the family concierge service which I would recommend if you have young children and are travelling with elderly parents as the concierge will assist with nightly dinner reservations and activities (otherwise, you will need to line up every morning at 9 AM in the main courtyard to book dinner reservations for the evening - this is probably the biggest negative I can think of for the resort as it is an inefficient system). There are lots of activities for kids to do in the separate kids club and a fantastic water park (Aquazone) that is great for all ages, with lots of seating and a snack bar/restaurant. The beach is about a 15-20 min walk from the main resort area, otherwise there are golf carts that run frequently that will take you down. The water park is about a 10 min walk straight up from the main drop off point at the beach if you don't want to wait for a cart - the walk is easy and mostly shaded. The beach area has a separate area that is roped off for family concierge guests and there is an extended walkway onto the beach itself with seating directly next to the walkway, so it is easy to maneuver strollers and wheelchairs. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would happily come back again!

The property was beautiful and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful the only issue I had was getting dinner reservations at the steak house but I was accommodated, so it worked out. There’s a shuttle that takes you around to the other properties like the casino and waterpark beach club. Very nice hotel would highly recommend

Our room was lovely kids loved to swim in a mostly private swimming area it was the highlight of our stay. They got a treat drawer filled each day with treats for them. We had our fridge also filled daily with drinks and upon request when needed. The only downside I had was I didn't find the mattress overly comfortable and for that reason didn't sleep well the whole week. I found it so uncomfortable that I debated on sleeping in the lounger outside if it wasn't for the bugs outside at night. This resort has one main pool and it's large enough that it's never crowded. Everyday they have activities in the pool that are fun for the kids. During our stay we never had an issue locating a bed or chair by the pool for our family they had plenty. Near the pool was an espresso/ ice cream bar which was a nice touch and was well used . The kids loved the ice cream and candy selection. Although the resort wasn't directly on the water the resort provided a shuttle service to the beach which was well received. We never had to wait long for it however depending on the time during the day it could be crowded. We only went to the beach twice during our stay and enjoyed it both times. Staff was lacking in the resort. It was noticeable during meal times It took along time to get drinks. The food wasn't great had better in DR.

If you want a vacation with tonnes of toddlers completely dominating your experience, then this is it. First off the resort and rooms are beautiful, but it stops there. The food is the worst I have ever seen. The buffet experience was terrible, we never got drink service, tables were filthy and we were tasked with finding our own tables for dinner. Buffet was extremely small for a resort of this size and selection was the least I've seen. The open air bar staff were also extremely rude when ordering drinks. The al acarte service was good but again the food was terrible. The beach bar was another terrible experience, to the point where my kids didn't want to go by themselves. The food at the beach grill was limited and always running out, the gentleman cooking was always grumpy. I am on vacation and don't want to be treated this way by people who hate the guests. Never once did we receive drink service at the beach. We stopped receiving bar fridge and snack service in the room for the last 3 days even though I tipped everyday he showed up. The room service food was not great. There was some highlights that I need to acknowledge. Dalvin at the Nest bar was amazing, he truly is a master of his craft, I've been to resorts where 90% of the staff behave like him. The cleaning lady was excellent for building 1 first floor. Also the older security guard at the front was great. Paradisus needs to hire more ground working staff instead of concierge and timeshare people.

The 2 biggest problems with this resort are staff AND misrepresentation! Staff range from incompetent to indifferent, but misrepresentation is the biggest problem because that’s how most of us make our selection of a resort … we trust information. The ONLY people calling this a luxury resort, don’t know what luxury is. The facilities are nice, but luxury comes from guest service and the quality of food and beverage. Food was average for Punta Cana at best! If you choose this resort, choose it for size of room or the waterpark but don’t be fooled into thinking this is anything more than a solid middle tier. I have stayed at 10 different all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana … this ranks 9th!!

We had a great time at this resort, staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Santa was an amazing room keeper! Room service was top tier!! The food was great. Food at Agua Marina was not super great but the restaurant Mangu was exceptional! Would definitely return in the future. 100% recommendation.

This was absolutely the perfect hotel for our stay in Punta Cana. We were celebrating our anniversary, and it matched our style beautifully. The customer service was truly beyond our expectations—staff were attentive and welcoming, and they went out of their way to make our stay special. Although there were many families with children, likely due to the on-site water park, it never disrupted our experience. We were still able to enjoy a relaxing and memorable getaway.

I absolutely had a great experience overall staying at this hotel. My room was one of the best rooms I've ever stayed in! Absolutely felt at home and comfortable. The food and pool were great. The drinks from any of the bars were top-notch! Bartenders and servers were very friendly! So much fun, and we do plan to go back if we never have to deal with one person ever again. The salesperson who sat us down was an absolute waste of our time. He was extremely condescending and one of the worst salespeople I've ever dealt with, especially on vacation when everything else was so good. Nous étions à Grand Cana , immense resort avec beaucoup de facilités , plage magnifique, sable blanc le transport aller retour rapide, Suite grand et propre Piscine très grand et agréable Fun république amusant , mini golf on a adoré Nous pouvons voir les autres resorts comme Punta Cana beach mais on ne peut pas commander rien qui semble être logique. Mais nous avons assisté à leur spectacle qui était magnifique Beaucoup de points positifs dans cet endroit, seul point négatif c’est le service qui est long , (comme si manque de quoi dans la chambre, ect) Excellent service de qualité qui ont réglé le problème existant rapidement Hôtel très familial si tu cherches la tranquillité et t’as des petits enfants c’est l’hôtel de choix, mais qui préfère la fête et les spectacles je crois pas que c’est le meilleur. The buffet was one of the best parts. The food was very good, with a nice variety, and I liked that it changed daily. The steakhouse was also solid. Mangú restaurant was just okay, nothing special. We did not get a chance to try the other restaurants. One of the main frustrations was with requests. We mentioned multiple times that we were celebrating our anniversary, and it felt like pulling teeth to get any of the promised amenities. That was disappointing. Our concierge, Julianna, was very kind and helpful. She assisted with a few things, including getting toys for our daughter to use at the beach and helping move our dinner reservation to an earlier time since we could not book anything before 9:30 PM ourselves. She was great. The rest of the service needs improvement. The front desk gave us the wrong bracelets at check-in, and we only fixed it 24 hours before departure. They also were not very helpful when answering basic questions like pool hours etc. The beach was clean and beautiful, but there was no service unless you were in the VIP area. If you wanted a drink, you had to go to the bar yourself. Same at the pool. It was much easier to just get drinks on your own because service was very slow, and it felt like they did not have enough staff.
