Our butler, Hector, was phenomenal! He was attentive to our needs, made our reservations for dinner, dealt with checkout, and was very present. The hotel pools were lovely.

This is amazing resort, not sure why there's so many bad reviews! If you read them, don't let it stress you out, our vacation was great! Rooms were clean and spacious, fridge was restocked daily and room was cleaned. There was a SLIGHT smell of mold but it was gone within 5 minutes of being in the room. There's so much to do! Nightly entertainment in different locations, bowling was fun, the disco was awesome for people who like to drop it like it's hot! The lazy river was great, we spent many days there. The beach is quite rocky and the water is super rough, red flags everyday. The lagoon to the side of the resort is gorgeous! It's literally right beside the El Baso beach. There's no rocks just gorgeous sand and the waves are all broken by rocks further up in the water so the red flags do not matter. All the restaurants were great except for route 66 which we found all the meat very dry. We upgraded to privilege upon arrival and ended up getting the best butler ever! Jose Miguel Jimenez is a great guy, made sure to find us everyday to make sure everything was going great! He made all our reservations and took care of all our needs, he even got me a full case of water delivered to the room for my partner who drinks a crazy amount at night. He makes you feel like family. We truely enjoyed our stay and are even considering going back for 2 weeks instead of 1 next year! Again we want to thank Jose for making our vacation so great!

Nice staff, ray was out Expedia rep, he was pretty good. It was a bit of a challenge booking some of the restaurants as we have young kids and did not want late reservations. Buffet was nearly the same every night. However overall a positive trip.

Our stay at Ocean El Faro Resort - All Inclusive was absolutely wonderful. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The infrastructure is impressive — beautiful facilities, well-maintained spaces, and a stunning overall setting. The resort offers everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The staff is incredibly welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. We would especially like to highlight Hector, who went above and beyond for us. He was always attentive and extremely helpful, particularly when he assisted us in recovering and sending back important documents that we had accidentally left in the room safe. His professionalism, kindness, and dedication truly made a difference for us. We warmly thank him for everything he has done — and continues to do — for us. We highly recommend this resort and would gladly return!

Our stay here was truly amazing. The room was always kept clean and the entire staff was super friendly. Our concierge José was the one who made our trip what it was. He went above and beyond in making sure we were taken care of completely. The whole resort was a breath of fresh air. Kudos to José for being an all around great person to know there.

We had a wonderful stay at Ocean El Faro, and what truly made the experience special was our incredible host, Miguel. From day one, Miguel went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. He provided daily updates through The Ocean Post, keeping us informed about events, activities, and restaurant availability so we never missed out on anything. That personal touch made planning each day effortless. He also handled all of our restaurant reservations seamlessly, ensuring we had great dining times without the usual stress of availability. On top of that, when we encountered a minor issue in our room, Miguel took immediate action and personally followed up to make sure it was fully resolved. His responsiveness and attention to detail were truly impressive. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated, proactive, and genuinely caring about guests’ experiences. Miguel didn’t just do his job — he consistently went beyond expectations. Because of him, our stay at Ocean El Faro was smooth, relaxing, and memorable. We can’t wait to return! We had such an amazing stay at Ocean El Faro Resort - just want to say a big thank you to the entire team for making our vacation so special. The resort is beautiful, very clean, and well organized. The food was great, the atmosphere was relaxing and fun at the same time, and the service throughout the property was consistently high quality. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, which really made us feel comfortable from day one. A very special thank you to Jose Miguel Jimenez for his incredible hospitality. He was always responsive, helpful, and genuinely caring. No matter what we needed, he handled it quickly and professionally, always with a great attitude. He truly made our experience even better and stress-free. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend Ocean El Faro. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

My overall experience at the resort was good, though there were several issues that held it back. The amenities were impressive, and the property is huge with plenty to explore. I especially enjoyed the long pools and the swim‑up bars, which quickly became my favorite spots. The resort also offers a solid variety of activities throughout the day. Mornings often featured events at the beach, while evenings brought entertainment to the plaza. The daily “Ocean El Faro Post” newsletter was a nice touch, making it easy to see what was happening. Another highlight was the concierge service. My assigned representative, Franklin P., was extremely helpful, arranging a VIP dinner and assisting with restaurant reservations, which made the stay noticeably smoother. However, logistics were inconsistent. Procedures at places like Ocean Burger changed from day to day, creating confusion. Several advertised activities never took place, such as yoga, trivia, and dance lessons. In one case, we waited an hour for movie trivia staff who never arrived, and employees nearby didn’t seem interested in helping. Coordination with Expedia was also poor; perks and late check‑out benefits weren’t communicated internally, leading to repeated trips to the lobby and conflicting answers until a manager stepped in. I also joined the H10 membership for perks that were never provided. Lastly, the beach is beautiful but rocky, with some algae in February, so water shoes were helpful.

Miguel, Miguel you are wonderful. Let me tell you a short story about the trip. Due to missed, flight, my mom inlaws visa expire for a transit through US, I had to buy a new flight instantly. I paid for 3 rooms initially but another person couldn't get his passport renewed on time. Mom went ahead of us, I had spent about $10k before getting there and I was so angry then I met Miguel, this guy has something, Instantly money meant nothing for me, the 2 days instead of 4 was worth the while and i came back without even thinking about the money i spent. People like you are rare Miguel, I don't know if you will see this but I pray you see this because I want you to just be you, just stay the way u are. That resort is very fortunate to have you my friend. And because Of this, I am coming in Feb again only if you are still there. In fact I will come there there feb, I don't want to go anywhere else. You are a blessed person and God loves you. You have that thing with people where people just get along with you. I told my wife Miguel was so good, then everybody at once said Miguel is the best, he doesn't need to fake anything, he is just a good person. My name is Theo and I will be coming there a lot, Miguel you made my lost of $10k by of United airlines felt like i lost $50 just the way u approach people. For the love of God don't ever change. You are a people's and what we refer to as "an original" The food was very good. And the other staffs where nothing but spectacular
