My girlfriend and I stayed at Live Aqua Punta Cana to celebrate her milestone 30th birthday. While much of the resort was beautiful, our final night completely changed our experience. We paid extra for a Romantic Dinner on the beach, expecting a premium four-course experience. Instead, we were ignored, skipped while other couples were served, and waited over two hours without receiving the meal nor any refill on drinks. We ultimately left without being served the full experience. The “replacement” offered was a standard all-inclusive dish in our rooms, not the private beach dinner we paid for. As a same-sex couple, the treatment felt dismissive and discriminatory. Although management later apologized and promised a full refund, we had to follow up repeatedly & ultimately was ignored. I had to dispute the charge with my bank. I’m sharing this so other LGBTQ+ travelers are aware. It’s not worth it, we even had Aqua Club. That does not guarantee respectful or equitable treatment.

Cuando llegamos al Life Aqua-All inclusive-Adults Only,nos dijeron que estaban sobrevendidos y que no nos recibirian y que por ordenes de Expidia nos enviarian al hotel W Marriot,lo cual hicieron.Lo cual nos produjo una gran incomodidad,ya que reservamos y pagamos la semana en el Life Aqua en octubre del 2025.Como es posible que Expedia no haya respetado nuestra reserva en el Life Aqua y ni siquiera nos haya informado con anterioridad que nos nos recibirian,ya que a quien los compramos la semana del 20 al 27 de Febrero de este año fue a Expedia,esto es sin ninguna duda una falta de respeto y consideranción como clientes de Expedia.Por lo cual soliicto a Expedia una compensación de por lo menos los que pagamos a USD/3,954.34.Finalmente consideramos que son faltas muy graves las siguentes: 1) No respetar ni cumplir nuestra reserva en el Life Aqua del 20 al 27 de fabrero del 2026. 2) Que Expedia nos nos lo haya informado con anticipación que no nos podriamos alojar el el Life Aqua y que no nos haya dado con ñla debida anticipación al menos tres opciones de hoteles de la misma categoria,para ser nosotros los que decidieramos cual preferiamos. 3) Como saber que no nos volverá a suceder lo mismo en el futuro con Expedia?. Finalmente les informo que el hotel W Marriot,esta en periodo de prueba,y tiene mucho por mejorar. quedo a la espera de una solución satisfactoria y justa. saludos Boris Dunayevich

Beautiful, fun place to stay for our family vacation with our adult kids. This hotel surpassed my expectations. It was clean and smelled amazing everywhere you went. Rooms were gorgeous & comfortable. Ocean was a beautiful temperature & seaweed free, at least at this time of year (Feb). Pools were clean & beautiful, but could be a bit warmer, for my liking. They had more activities & fun things to do than I expected! Only thing missing that we would have liked was tennis or pickleball courts. Restaurants were all good- especially loved the French restaurant (chez rose), the Mediterranean restaurant above the main pool (Huzur) and the Asian hibachi at Seishin. Also really enjoyed food at the buffet, sports bar and Italian restaurant too! Really enjoyed hydrotherapy & a great massage at the beautiful spa! Beach was gorgeous & service there was great! Shows we saw at night were surprisingly great! Michael Jackson show was way beyond any others we’ve seen. And karaoke, dj parties & nightclub were lots of fun too, with great music. Foam party in pool was fun too. Lobby bar & aqua club lounge bar made great drinks for us every night. Special thanks to Angelo, our great beach server, who went above and beyond to keep our beach days comfortable & happy. Also thanks to our butler Smerlyn, who was always happy & eager to help with anything we needed. Staff here are all well-trained to be very friendly & customer service oriented. Would love to return!

ERIC (the butler) was on point! I’ve never received such a great service from any butler in my past. He stayed on point with everything, making sure every request was accommodated, replied to our messages within less than a minute! He mentioned all the services offered in our booking and made sure we got to experience it! The best butler I’ve ever had! Very kind and attentive ! As far as the resort - I stayed with my partner 3 nights at the TIERRA SUITE room for 1K per night. Communication with the resort prior to the arrival was hard so I had to go extra mile to get attention. I was disappointed with the quality of the room for so much money. The floor was dirty, had to change my socks 3x a day, we killed 2 ROACHES during our stay, missing shower gel, the resort could def improve as far as cleaning goes. When we reported to the front desk at the VIP section about roaches it seemed like the staff was not surprised at all. My boyfriend got bitten by a bug during our last night at the resort! The food was ok around the resort, could be better.. the outdoor section was the nicest in Tierra suite with private pool but I will not be going back to that resort for sure. The roaches are unacceptable for $1000 per night.

Live Aqua Punta Cana exceeded our expectations in every way. The food was outstanding with great variety. Dinner at the Japanese, French, and Italian restaurants were our favourites, while lunch at the Mediterranean grill and the ceviche spot was fresh and delicious. Having 24-hour food and drink service was a huge bonus. The cocktails were excellent (ask for a grande), and the wine selection was surprisingly good for an all-inclusive. Our room was beautifully appointed and very cozy, with comfortable beds, a massive shower with two shower heads, and a well-stocked bar fridge. The patio was a highlight — large, private, and complete with a cozy daybed/lounger. The entire resort was exceptionally clean. There were five immaculate pools to choose from, and the beach was beautiful and cleaned every morning. If you want a front-row beach lounger, aim to reserve one around 7:00 a.m with a beach towel. (we visited in February). The staff were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. Being kind in return goes a long way, and it was always met with genuine warmth. The entertainment team was engaging and fun without being intrusive. The spa was spectacular — one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I booked a 30-minute shiatsu, which included access to the hydrotherapy pool and saunas. It was heavenly and well worth the splurge. Attention to detail, cleanliness, and little spoils throughout made this resort truly special. Highly recommended, and I hope to return one day.

I traveled here with another mom friend, and we both kept saying the same thing all week: this is the most relaxed we’ve been in YEARS. As moms, it’s rare to truly feel taken care of — but that’s exactly what happened here. The resort is beautiful, serene, and perfectly maintained, but the staff are what make this place extraordinary. From check-in with Antony, to the VIP lounge where Milady and Alexander made every visit special, we felt welcomed and cared for everywhere we went. Our personal concierge Smerlin was absolutely outstanding. He handled everything — beach cabanas, spa bookings, daily check-ins — and made our stay effortless and perfect. At the Wonder Pool cabanas, Karilenny took wonderful care of us, and Josue on the beach made our days smooth and relaxing. At the spa, Teyra gave an amazing massage and reflexology treatment that left us feeling completely renewed. The food was exceptional, especially the seafood. The hibachi dinner was both delicious and incredibly entertaining. At the café, Raquel was always welcoming and kind. The entertainment team — Red, Yierisy, Yohan, Brian, and Jesus — brought such fun, positive energy and made activities enjoyable without ever being pushy. Our beachside room with a private plunge pool felt like a sanctuary. The spa was world-class. The beach is breathtaking. This wasn’t just a vacation — it was restoration. We can’t wait to come back.
