The room was fine, the amenities were adequate, but the service was spotty. We had a hard time communicating with the staff, and ended up with quite a few incorrect food or drink orders. Cesar, the concierge who was assigned to us, was a 5-star host and made the stay much better.

Everything was wonderful. The staff all over the resort was always willing to help. Cezar was always available for anything we needed. Even helped with surprise birthday party. Our room was kept perfect even on the weekend. It was a great holiday.

We had Jr Suite Swim Up room (Palace 4000 building). Fabulous location--steps from the beach! Room: Comfortable beds, double sinks, rainshower + hand-held shower head, large bottles of shampoo/conditioner/bodywash, safe for valuables, mini fridge stocked daily w/ soda, beer, water. (BYO liquid handsoap, unless you like barsoap for hands.) Room felt damp (as expected in tropical climate), but was clean & free of bugs. Room had beautiful patio w/ lounge chairs, swim up pool, & view of the ocean. Room tidied daily (beds made, fresh towels, floor swept...) Beach was beautiful! Soft white sand, seagreen water, gentle waves like a wave pool. A little seaweed, but nothing too bad & intermittent. Each morning, they clean up seaweed that has accumulated on the beach. Plenty of lounge chairs (but we woke up early to get chairs) & lots of trees & palapas for shade. Food was ok. We did Los Torres buffet for breakfast. Large selection. Loved the made-to-order egg station. Delicious lattes at Palace Lobby coffee bar. For lunch, yummy pizza at La Uva (beach shack) & vast lunch buffet by Palace pool. Enjoyed panini & pasta stations. Our FABULOUS personal concierge Cesar got us dinner reservations at the ala carte restaurants. Hibachi was our fav. Dinner buffet also good. Drinks were fabulous! Bars all over & huge selection Fun sports complex (sand vball, pickleball, mini golf) Staff was SUPER friendly! Cesar was great--put up decor for daughter's bday, help schedule excursion, etc

They are spending all their money on the Palladium Bavaro it seems! All seating in hotel is very poor with sunken in seats. All loungers on Beach are sagging and broken bar to recline falls off every time you use it. TV. cannot watch because picture freezes on a shot but the recording continues. No beach Bars open because or erosion to area and they have not replaced the Cement base you would stand on nor the steps leading down to the beach at the end of the walkway. Some of the beach Cabana's are tilted do you can not sit a drink on them and to be under one our chairs were on a slope due to the mass amount of sand piled up there. When we would see a Bar waiter to order a drink and by the time he got back a frozen drink was already quite melted, plus he was a long time making his rounds due to his having to go to the pool bar and get the drinks. The Staff was great although you really need to speak Spanish to explain any special request to them. They only knew minimal English in restaurants and bar wait staff. If it weren't for Chayanne and Cesar our Concierges we would have had more problems. Our room was clean but needed more hangers which Chayanne was finally able to get me. All food was good but that which was prepared ahead was not warm like the warming trays were not working, even the ham sliced right off the bone was not warm same for the chicken etc. But we did enjoy the mass selections.

Cesar at the front desk was amazing! He took care of reservations for restaurants and checked in daily to see if we needed anything. He is kind, friendly and well informed. If we needed anything he took care of it immediately. Thank you Cesar!

The rooms were weird. There’s a giant door between the shower and the bedroom. It leaks and it’s really creepy. Staff members were loitering in the steps of our building all day and night, and they would talk and make crude gestures behind my daughter’s back - it was inappropriate and almost scary. The beach is one of the softest beaches I’ve ever been to, and it is totally ruined by the vendors harassing you every 4 minutes.

We had the most amazing stay over Christmas! Caesar made our trip amazing by taking care of everything we needed- from scheduling family pictures to making dinner reservations for us.

The room bathroom tub was very slow to drain making water stay in the tub overnight. The tub design is very poor, water gets all over the floor while showering. And water pressure was horrible. The power outlets on both sides of the bed did not work. The AC in the room was horrible too. The lowest we could set it for was 71 degrees F making it difficult to sleep at night. The staff and staff service was great everywhere throughout the resort. The concierge person Cesar was amazing. He made sure we had everything we needed. Food was great. The place has great potential, just needs to be updated (all bathrooms and bedrooms)
