What a great stay. Place is charming and beautiful. Views of the city and the ocean - doesn't get any better. Great relaxing pools. Food was great at their restaurant and all the staff were wonderful and so friendly. Can't wait to return.

The Marcela is a gem, it’s a beautiful place to spend several days enjoying PV. Easy walk to town to enjoy the hustle and bustle and then escape back to the super friendly staff, delicious food and drinks and great pool. The rooms themselves are beautiful decorated with traditionally Mexican decor, clean and comfortable. The pull out couch wasn’t very comfortable but that is our only complaint, the Marcela was a wonderful place to spend 10 days with our family. We would definitely stay again.

The view was amazing! Everyone we met was so nice and accommodating. The pool and bar area were lovely and the meals we had at the restaurant were good! There are a lot of stairs so be ready for that but Ubers we’re always available.

Had a great stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views from the room, room was very spacious, and nice pool area. Only downside is the driveway is very steep and since it’s on the side of a hill, there are a lot of stairs to get down to the beach/town area.

Best Vacation in years!

We just had the best time! Enjoy several spa services and they were excellent. All of the employees were fantastic. The rooms were beautiful, quiet and safe. We will be back! PS May was the perfect month.

We had a great stay at Marcela Resort. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and quiet. The resort is conveniently located near the beach and grocery stores. The staff were friendly, and both the food and the bar were excellent.

Have stayed in 15 different resorts and condos in the last 10 years of going to Puerto Vallarta and this one is close to the top of the list. Place is quiet, grounds are beautiful, staff is wonderful and rooms are clean. We will return. Highly recommend.

My wife and I prepaid for an 8 night stay at Marcela and left after 2 nights to move to a different hotel and different part of town. Positives: friendly staff, large room more like an apartment than a hotel room, outstanding views of the city (we booked the top floor suite), reasonable kitchen. Negatives: Way too many steps to get down to the beach and food shopping, you must be in very good shape and willing to climb - we found it too inconvenient as I had a sore back, laundry worked but made loud noises and sounded like it was on its last legs, shower drain did not clear so water was a few inches deep by end of shower, communication with staff only through WhatsApp not ideal, noisy environment around the hotel while we were there, hotel pool excessively crowded. Overall nice large room and a great view, but because of location and lack of amenities we decided to go somewhere else
