Stayed for 6 nights, no hot water. After talking to the desk the 2nd morning they said they would send a guy right up but I had to be there in the room for him. After a half hour he showed up, sat on the toilet with the water running for 20 minutes texting and talking on his phone. after that he said he had to check a machine, I waited another half hour and when he did not come back I went to the front desk. They said that the whole resort was having hot water problems, I explained that I didn't appreciate babysitting their plumber for one and a half hours when it was a resort wide problem, I could have been on the beach enjoying myself instead of sitting in my room. The place is definitely outdated and the shower drain ( cold water ) was partially plugged so you could only run it for a short time before it started to overflow on the floor. The staff were OK trying their best with what they have but if you don't get up at 6 AM and mark your spot there is not a lot of places to lie in the sun with an umbrella. It is not what I would call a high end resort by any stretch.

I absolutely loved this resort and will definitely be coming back. There were so many pools and jacuzzis to choose from, which made it easy to relax without feeling crowded. The views were stunning, and the beach was just a short walk down a few stairs with a large, beautiful area to enjoy. The drinks were great—especially the Banana Mama, which was my favorite. The buffet offered a wide variety of options. While it didn’t always have typical “everyday” foods, everything I tried was flavorful, so if you’re open to different dishes, you’ll enjoy it. I also tried the El Paso restaurant, and the food there was excellent—very well cooked and satisfying. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’ll definitely be returning soon.

Our VIP Room was comfortable and spacious! The swim up room was a special treat. Our housekeeping staff was wonderful. The Spa was relaxing and professional. Rosa and Andres were fantastic and very professional. The wait staff in the main dining area were attentive and helpful while the wait staff in the VIP dining were nice but could benefit from some additional training. Overall, our stay was pleasurable and a great escape!

I stayed 3 nights at Select Casa Marina to celebrate my parents’ 40th anniversary and I’m so glad I chose this hotel. It was totally worth it. I wanted to surprise them with a decorated room, and Amal was incredibly kind from the start and truly went above and beyond to make it happen. The setup was beautiful with balloons, flowers, champagne, and even a thoughtful extra touch that made my mom cry happy tears. I’m really grateful for the care she put into it. If you’re celebrating something special, definitely ask for Amal. She helped turn a trip into a memory we’ll always cherish. Food was great overall. I definitely didn’t go hungry. The Seascape a la carte restaurant and the international restaurant for Select guests were especially good, and even the buffet had plenty of tasty options. Select guests also get special seating at the buffet with beautiful ocean views, which was a nice touch. The grounds were the perfect size for me. Not too small but not overwhelming either. I stayed on the Select side and recommend it since you get your own pool and more relaxed areas. The scenery is gorgeous with mountain views plus beach views that really stick with you. Entertainment wise, I caught one nighttime show that was fun and high energy, and I also enjoyed the club. Overall, I would definitely return. The staff were attentive and genuinely cared about the guests, which made the whole experience even better.
