I loved the staff and tapas( laboqueria) ) restaurant in the hotel! Very clean and safe. Property and rooms are a little worn, but clean.

The hotel was wonderful staff amazing! The pool tile needed some renovation but very clean water, and very nice garden area. Rooms were clean and very comfortable bed.
Plenty of staff to help with everything and pool is great, clean and heated! The only concern I had was with no fridge in the room and no ice machines. Other than that, every staff from front desk to cleaners/stockers are fantastic
Intercontinental is like a resort in the city, nice heated outdoor pool, Gym, Spa and a cozy lobby bar. Service stands out as well as the well served breakfast buffet. Thumbs Up !

Most of the front desk staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive, in particular Monserrat, Yazmin, and a young man whose name I didn’t catch.
Amaranta, the concierge, was OUTSTANDING! She ALWAYS greeted us with a smile and salutations. Amaranta also went out of her way to ensure we were having an extraordinary experience. She constantly sent us photos, links, and suggestions. In addition, she set up our airport pickup, and our driver was pleasant and informative.
The breakfast buffet was delicious, and all the waiters were happy to attend to our needs.
Manuel, the bellboy, and the gentlemen at the valet were all friendly and greeted us with smiles.
Our room was clean, but there were issues with the AC and the vent in the bathroom. We spent a very uncomfortable first night in a hot and humid room. We informed the front desk the following morning, and the maintenance crew was sent to our room. The AC tank needed refueling, and the bathroom fan and sensor needed battery replacements. We were offered a mere 15% off of our first night for our discomfort. Personally, we thought management could have offered a better discount for the lack of comfort we experienced during the late hours of our first night and the following morning.
The location of the hotel is near main highways and roads. We booked here for its old world charm exterior, but we were a bit disappointed with the irrelevant modern works of arts. The hotel needs a renovation, and the tubs are hazardous.
We stayed here as a family of three in a king room with a sleeper sofa. While the sofa bed was unfortunately uncomfortable—you could feel the springs—it was manageable for a short stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made a big difference. Having a car rental on site was extremely convenient, and it was easy to get Ubers to and from the center of town, which was only about 10–15 minutes away. The breakfast buffet was excellent and a real highlight of our stay. Overall, a good experience, though the sofa bed could definitely use an upgrade.
Can’t give a good rating to a hotel that has security cameras pointing right to the interior of the rooms. Room 1437 has a security camera pointing right to the interior of the room. I checked in at night and didn’t worry about closing the curtains, just left them partially open, the next morning I discovered there was a security camera covering the terrace on a lower level, but the camera was perfectly pointing to the room interior of any distracted guest that believes the hotel protects their privacy.
Breakfast was below average, I was charged “weekend breakfast”, there’s great food all over Puebla, and I expected more. Chilaquiles rojos were absolutely tasteless, scrambled eggs where dry and compacted as a solid block, i had to cut it with a spoon. Fresh fruit was ok.
I have stayed multiple times at International Puebla and sister Holiday Inn across the street, most likely will never stay here.
