Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've prepared well. We've put together a list of handy hints that will help get your Puebla escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack in your passport, important documents, cash and daily medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling novel and a tablet filled with your favorite shows are some great options. If you plan to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you arrive at your destination feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Go for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to take a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. To reduce your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your legs and feet often.
