「Let’s start with the good. The hotel was gorgeous, beautifully maintained while preserving the historic beauty. Now for the bad. We arrived at 5:30 pm, when check in started at 4 pm, our room wasn’t officially released to us until 5:55. There was not even an apology offered, until my husband brought up that this was quite unfortunate, being that we only had the room for a total of 20 hours, so we were missing out on quite a chunk of the time we paid for. He was given only a voucher for 1 free...

「The room ceiling in 1522 had a big patch job that was very noticeable from a possible leak from above. To someone with OCD and having to look up at the ceiling that was very uncomfortable. I would suggest it need to be re-spackled and restored to its original look. Also, the locking mechanism on the door had just been yanked off. It looked kind of trashy. Other than that, the room was decent. Housekeeping did knock on my door two hours before checkout which I did not appreciate. I did not...

「When we first arrived at the property we encountered pigeon excrement at the main entrance followed by a horrible smell in the entrance way. The room was not clean and there was black mould on the window ledge. We had booked this property for two nights and forfeited one night stay and left the proper right away without ever staying. Personally I don’t think we should have been charged at all due to the condition of the property,」
