Clean, quiet rooms with a security system in each. Good location just off the main areas. Pool and other shared areas were clean. The host was lovely, and Sushi the cat who lives on the property was so friendly and cute! 100% would reccomend.

we really enjoyed our stay here. The privacy and security was fantastic as every room has its own keys and own alarm system. It is walkable from the beach only about 10 minutes and even less of a walk from some great restaurants. The Rooms are clean and very cozy. We fell in love with Sushi the cat. She lives on the property and is the sweetest little thing. We really enjoyed ur stay and highly recommend to other travellers

Susan was responsive, easy to communicate with, and helpful during check-in and throughout our stay. The rooms and common spaces are well kept, clean and spacious! The pool is a very nice option to have. The room was cute and perfect for our stay in Potrero. We spent most of our time touring around between beaches and the location is quite central, however, we found it was easier to rent a golf cart to relieve some of the walking. You can get anywhere pretty quick though by foot as well/using the beach. It would have been awesome if we had a place to plug-in/charge our golf cart at the casita but we worked our way around that! Definitely recommend staying here and thank you!!

Susan was a great host. We really enjoyed our stay. Walked to Hemingway's on the beach, had a nice dinner while watching the sunset. Also took in Playa Conchal several days for amazing snorkeling.

Wish we had more time to spend here. The grounds were beautiful with tropical plants all around. The pool was sparkling clean. The room was spacious and cozy. We cooked dinner one night in the cutest little outdoor kitchen. It was equipped with everything we needed. It was conveniently located within walking distance to places to grab a bit to eat. Susan was just lovely. She was there to greet us at check-in and was extremely knowledgeable about Costa Rica. My favorite part was the family of monkeys that live in the trees surrounding the property and the other wildlife that love to hangout around the back fence. Definitely add this place to your list.

Costa Rica is a wonderful country and Christelle and Chan made our visit even more memorable. Imagine the beautiful countryside and fresh home made real French baguettes every morning for breakfast, fresh fruit drink, fresh fruit bowl or plate and then French toast or Huevos Rancheros or just bacon and eggs. It was a culinary delight. We liked the attention to detail and communication (we felt welcome before we arrived). We liked how they connected with us. We weren’t disappointed! The welcome sign hanging on our room door to the bath puffs in the shower.

My husband and I had a brief overnight stay at the property before meeting up with friends at another Potrero resort. Our host, Susan, was very responsive and our room itself was clean and spacious. The grounds are lovely, very private and quiet. There is a pool, ample seating, a BBQ, and hammocks. There is a little shed where you can fix your own coffee and breakfast. The only thing to be aware of is that the property is on a sidestreet with only a small sign on the front gate which is hard to see if you’re arriving at night (as we did). It’s a bit of a walk back to the main intersection if you’re looking for food. All in all - a very relaxed stay perfect for more independent travelers!

Potrero gem

Intimate little 4 room place about 3 blocks from Potrero beach. This is an absolutely wonderful, private place to relax or use as a base to travel the beaches, if you have a car. The host is very friendly, the rental process easy, the property beautiful, and the rooms are good sized and nicely done with local artistic flare. Very well done. We would definitely stay again and thank Susan for the experience.

if you are looking for a quite spot near the beach, then this is The place. The room is small but it has anything you need for a nice stay, the pool is right at the door of your room with enough towels and sits for everybody. The breakfast is something unique, out of this world, I mean, they take the time to prepare the meal for each one of the guests, so it is not the usual and boring buffet that you can find anywhere. These kind of things makes your time in Mar y Posa very special, specially if you want to share some time with your loved one or to spend some free time yourself. My only two recommendations are is to have a larger space for the common kitchen and maybe, at the entrance of the property, have a small shower that you can use to get rid of the beach sand before you go to your room or to the pool. Did I mention the love of passion that the owners put on every detail, on every conversation they have with you? that makes difference, specially during curren circumstances. We will come back!!

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par nos hôtes, un couple de Français. La chambre que nous avons occupée est grande, décorée sobrement avec goût. La salle d'eau bien installée et très propre. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et propose des aliments faits maison et très bons (confitures, pain, gâteaux...) Comme il y a juste quatre chambres, l'atmosphère est calme et l'on peut vraiment profiter de la piscine. La plage n'est pas loin à pied. Nos hôtes ont montré une grande disponibilité et nous ont donné des conseils bien utiles sur l'environnement proche et, plus loin, la suite de notre périple. Très bien!
